Misleading advertising
If we find that an advertisement is misleading we may do any of the following: Ask the firm to change the advertisement. Ask the firm to withdraw it. Ask the firm to write to customers who may have been misled and compensate them if theyve lost money as a result. Warn the firm. Fine the firm.

'Insurance sector' with 52 per cent share leads in overall TV advertising of 'financial sector' during FY 2009-10. 'Banking & financial services' and 'others' had contributed for 45 per cent and three per cent share respectively in overall TV ad volumes of 'financial sector' during FY 2009-10.
