Site Director and SLT visibly involved and focused on EHS around the site in tandem with EHS staff. Shadow of the Leader Make Safety Performance the Number 1 agenda item on monthly SLT meetings. Review metrics and initiatives review and identify what can the SLT need do to support the EHS programs and objectives. Everyones PDP and the site bonus multiplier contain components relating to EHS targets. Reward and celebrate regularly using the ERA system. Use strong, consistent multimedia communications, refreshed at regular intervals to raise safety awareness and performance. Use EHS performance to demonstrate that the site is in control. Insist that EHS performance is a site-wide' effort not just the EHS teams responsibility. Personal Safety is everyones top objective.

Establish a structured EHS meeting with mandatory representation from all departments. No shows not tolerated. Make it an interactive session where initiatives, near miss events & accidents are presented for discussion by area representatives with support from EHS and the management team. Encourage all employees to report unsafe conditions and acts to their manager for improvement action.

Ensure that all EHS major CAPA's from self audits and walkarounds are addressed as a priority with Site Director real time follow-up.
Include EHS at the kick-off of all Leadership Edge and OE training exercises. EHS Leadership is a key trait of an effective site based leader in an OE based culture. Embrace your major service providers in all of the above. They are an integral part your EHS program. This has knock-on ancillary benefits in how they view their status as part of the team.
