LEVELS OF EDUCATION
Diploma is the qualification awarded on the basis of one or two

year's successful study and is offered at colleges. Universities award undergraduate or bachelor's degree after four years of full-time study. Graduate or postgraduate degrees lead to advanced degrees, diplomas and certificates. Eligibility to participate in graduate studies is a four-year bachelors or undergraduate degree. Doctorate or Ph.D. is a degree ranking above the master's degree and generally completed after four to seven years of study in which a combination of course work, original research and a thesis is required.

The Canadian High Commission - New Delhi will issue

WORK PERMIT
Working on campus:
You may work on campus at the institution where you study without a work permit if: you are a full-time student at a public post-secondary institution, such as a college or university, or a collge

Working off campus :To work off campus, you must apply for a work permit. Do not begin to work off campus until you have received your work permit. The work permit authorizes you to work up to 20 hours per week during regular academic sessions, and full time during scheduled breaks (for example, winter and summer holidays, and spring break).

The normal range of earning per hour would be per Canadian $ 8 to 12.

COOPERATIVE EDUCATION

Cooperative education is a structured method of combining classroom-based education with practical work experience. A cooperative education experience, commonly known as a "co-op", provides academic credit for structured job experience. Cooperative education is taking on new importance in helping young people to make the school-to-work transition, service learning, and experiential learning initiatives.

The overall Canada visa requirement has been reduced to 67 points. For students moving to Canada has become easier. Factor 1: Education - maximum 25 points. You gain points for full time study Factor 2: English and French language ability - maximum 24 points If you are fluent in both official languages English and French you will be awarded 24 points. If not, you must firstly decide which language you are more fluent in. This will be your "first official language". You can gain up to 16 points for the first official language, and up to 8 points for the second official language. Your points score will be based on your ability to read, write, listen to, and speak English and French.
