LOCATION AND POPULATION

Greece

is a beautiful country in Europe. It is in the south-east of Europe and is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea. It has 10.787.690 people in the country.

WEATHER AND CLIMATE

The climate is mild and its cold in winters and hot and wet in summers.

The weather now is about 12 Celsius.

FINANCIAL CRISIS

In Greece in the last couple of years we have some financial problems. We are in debt and we owe to the European Community a lot of money.

POPULATION

Athens has got about 4 million residents.

MODERN SHOPS
Some shops are The Mall (a huge shopping mall), BSB and IKEA. The mall is a shop which has got more shops inside. BSB is a shop which has got very beautiful clothes. IKEA is a shop which sells furniture.

WEATHERAND CLIMATE
The weather in Athens is generally warm and sometimes rainy. It used to be more dry than it is now. Athens was famous for its good climate. In summer the weather is quite hot and sunny

SIGHTSTHE ACROPOLIS
Athens has got a lot of sights, one of these is Acropolis. The Acropolis is the most popular sight in the Greece. 6-7 million people visit the Acropolis every year!

The Acropolis (the word means the end of the town) is a hill, a rock. There you can see the Parthenon (the temple of Athena, a goddess), the most famous sight. But you will also see: Propilea, Erehtheum and the New Museum that is not on the hill but faces it and has a great view.

OUR VILLAGE VATHY

LOCATION

Vathy is in the center of Greece. It is very close to the Aegean sea.

POPULATION
The population is about 3.000 residents. Most people are old but there are a kindergarten,a Primary School, a Junior High School and a High School.

ACTIVITIES
In the morning we, the kids, go to school and in the afternoon some of us go to language schools . Some kids go to the football camp FAIR PLAY to learn how to play football Sometimes we meet and play in the neighbourhoods.
