Frequency spectrum: HomePNA one band. VDSL - two band.

Q & A.
1. Q: How can I do trouble shooting for VDSL product at once by myself ? A: 1. If you have connect with PBX, which portPBX connected with splitter. 2. And how about the connector? Areyou testing the connector whichconvert signal of VDSL/Ethernet? Do they make the connector by they or by it? 3. Is the phone(which is on CPE side) working ok after the PBX connected with VDSL switch? (for this case, just make sure the phone sites is working properly)CO and CPE link ok without PBX connect with?

Q & A.
2. Q: As we knew, cross talk is really serious problem in the environment of HomePNA application. Is Cross talk issue reveal on VDSL solution more than on HomePNA ? A: No not at all. Theory of VDSL is similar with ADSL. Both of ADSL and VDSL are using two band and this is the point why cross talk is more seriously on HomePNA environment not on VDSL. If the cross talk reveal on the phone line, the ADSL and VDSL systems will be effective on the previous frequency range. The carry data can be transfer still by the next band (upstream). How about HomePNA? There is one band to carry the transfer data. Because there is only one band HomePNA has, its no extra band to prevent the carried data will lost or not.

VE-8918 Q & A
Q: Does it support management via console, telnet and web browser? A: Yes. Supports management via console, telnet and browser. Q: Does it support QoS such as low-high priority queuing on per-port basis, queuing, etc? A: Switch supported 802.1q but not per-port base. Q: Bidder shall propose Network Management System (NMS) that has enough licenses to manage all proposed VDSL Switches and VDSL CPE A: Yes, you can check CPE's status via VDSL switch. The feature name call "OAM-Like". OAM-Like allow remote control CPE , such as statistic of link up/down, look-back test and remote reset CPE site.

VE-8918 Q & A
Q: Does VDSLswitch HTTP port number changeable ? We have some difficulties with remote control when switches are behind the router that has NAT. Does VDSLswitch support this feature? A: Yes, VDSL switch supported this feature. You can easy find this feature to change HTTP port number via console \ 2.Management setup\ 5. Management features control \ 1. Web-Based capability \ 2. Select HPPT port number.
