WHY INNOVATION IS IMPORTANT FOR A ORGANIZATION

The starting point for innovation is the generation of creative ideas. Innovation is the process of taking those ideas to market or to usefulness Innovation is anything that provides a new perceived benefit to a customer or employee Innovation is a fundamental part of modern business. If you dont innovate, you stand still. And in todays world, standing still means going backwards as others keep moving ahead. innovation as a key to improve virtually every aspect of our business. And by improving the business, which makes it easer for the customers to extend their own reach, leading to more sustainable growth and development around the world.

Proposal to board of Directors

Idea of zero emission ships and terminals. New Propeller design. Watchdog for Anchor Handlers

LARGE INVESTMENT
ZERO EMISSION TERMINAL A zero-emissions marine terminal running on renewable energy from sun and wind, designed to reduce land use while maximizing operational efficiency - with minimal impact on the environment. Key drivers is customer demand for a greener supply chain, which is where the automotive industry is quickly moving. And, with stricter carbon and energy regulations on the horizon, the industry must get a head start on investing in greener technologies that will inevitably be needed. A number of these building blocks - such as solar energy, water recycling and reduced electricity consumption. To develop this, they should build port and industrial partners, such as power companies, to employ solar panels and windmills. An optimal location for a green terminal helps to boasts convenient rail connections, barge services, limited transport distances to major markets and manufacturing facilities. A highly advanced building design coupled with a lean production environment will ensure that the containers and other goods are handled and processed in the most environmentally sensitive and safety manner.

Large Investments
Zero emission vessel
FUEL CELL Fuel cells work on the "cold combustion" principle, a highly efficient electrochemical process which causes no mechanical wear and tear to components if hydrogen from sustainable sources is used as energy provider, operation of the fuel cells is virtually emission-free, only water vapour is emitted Fuel cells can replace both conventional ships motors and also auxiliary aggregates for supplying subsidiary consumers. a design concept for a zero-emission container vessel which targets uses of liquid Hydrogen as fuel to generate power with a combined fuel cell and battery system. The design concept addresses typical container services with a full open-top 14000 TEU intake at a service speed of 15 knots. The vessel is powered by a fuel cell system which delivers up to 100 MW to two podded propulsors. A battery system provides peak power.

LARGE INVESTMENT
The concept envisions that the liquid Hydrogen (LH2) would be produced offshore close to a wind farm. Energy from the wind farm would be used for LH2 production. A 500 MW wind farm could produce LH2 for up to 5 container vessels. Another advantage is that from zero emission terminal, the combination of wind and solar energy would help to generate requirements of both, our vessel and terminal operation. The continuing bottleneck in vessels able to deal with these ever larger installations meant that players in the maritime industry who were prepared to take the risks to develop vessels capable of dealing with the technological challenges of the next generation of turbines could reap great rewards

SMALL INVESTMENTS
Full-scale CLT(CONVENTIONAL) Propeller the new propeller significantly reduced vibrations onboard the ship. Second, the pressure pulses on the hull induced by the propeller have been measured in full scale, and the results confirm the findings of the model tests: the CLT propeller causes low induced pressure pulses, with especially low figures for the higher harmonics. Third, speed trials have been performed to assess efficiency, with an early indication that the CLT propeller is indeed more efficient A new propeller type could save up to 8% of fuel and emissions Watchdog for Anchor Handlers Modern AHTS vessels are installed with various computer systems containing information about the vessel state. The idea behind a "Watch Dog" is to combine this information and present it to the operator when taking high risks during anchor handling operations. For instance could such a system give an alert when the ship is operated close to its minimum stability requirements, i.e. when it risks breaking in the middle or capsizing. Also, early warnings are given when the ship gets too close to other objects without running thruster units, or when too high wire tension is applied on the backside of shark jaws. The human machine interface consists of a display showing various indicators such as: - power consumption - wire tension - stability information - multiple level warning strategy, i.e. warning sounds, display messages and voice guidance.

CONCLUSION
Large investment needs to invest lot of time and money. But the concept of Zero emission Terminal and vessel will help our organization to reduce operating cost, have a green image and sustainable business. For the smaller investment, we can replace the propeller and introduce watch dog for anchor handlers to our existing ships and also our new ships. Which will help us to reduce around 8-10% co2 emission and increases the safety level. The main problem in these huge investment is to coordinate with the society, government and arranging the fund and difficult to estimate the expenditure on Zero emmission terminal and ships.
