STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
How is the improvement of writing skill of the eighth grade students of SMP 2 Mejobo Kudus in the Academic Year 2011/2012 taught by using wall magazine? How is the response of the eighth grade students of SMP 2 Mejobo Kudus in the Academic Year 2011/2012 who taught by using Wall Magazine?

Objective of The Research


To find out if Wall Magazine can improve the students writing skill of the eighth grade students of SMP 2 Mejobo Kudus in the academic year 2011/2012. To find out the improvement of writing skill of the eighth grade students of SMP 2 Mejobo Kudus in the academic year 2011/2012 taught by using wall magazine.

To find out the response of the eighth grade students of SMP 2 Mejobo Kudus in The Academic Year 2011/2012 who taught by using Wall Magazine.

Significant of The Research


Theoretically, this research is conducted to improve the Students Writing Skill. Practically, the result of this research can be useful for English Junior High School teachers in improving the students writing skill.

REVIEW TO RELATED LITERATURE Teaching English in SMP 2 Mejobo Kudus The students of SMP 2 Mejobo Kudus have difficulties and confused in writing English, especially in arranging sentences based on the text. The English teaching in SMP 2 Mejobo Kudus uses KTSP 2006 by emphasizing four skills. There are listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The materials of teaching writing in this research are narrative and recount texts.
Writing According to Pardiyono (2006: 9), writing is one form of communication activity which involves in certain language. According to Setiyadi (2006: 71), there are seven types of writing: imitative writing, dictation, guided writing, controlled writing , controlled composition, directed composition, and free composition. In this research, teaching writing can be begun from reading activity. The writer uses imitative writing type for making written test.

REVIEW TO RELATED LITERATURE According to Nursito (2005: 1) that, wall magazine is one of the simplest communication media in writing mass. Advantage of Using Wall Magazine Wall magazine is as the communication media. Disadvantage of Using Wall Magazine Wall magazine needs donation to make it more interesting. The Improvement of Writing Skill of the eighth grade students of SMP 2 Mejobo Kudus were to an optimal extent towards teaching by using Wall Magazine.
