Important Functionality
Data migration is the transfer of legacy data (customers, employees, materials, and so on) to the new solution. It is a key task in all implementation projects. --Business task management [Workflow management] enables status-dependent incident processing (open, in process, etc.), integrated with the business objects in the system (tasks with reference to documents) and the organization model (responsible employee determined automatically). --Self-learning environment [e-learning] allows students to learn about relevant software functions independently and at their own pace. --Integrated support is the linking of incident reports logged in the system with a global support organization that performs its services as a 'component' of the software contract.

Important Concepts
Organizational management is the implementation, planning and design of the organizational structure that has its own design environment in SAP Business ByDesign. ---Decentralization [<> Centralization, lean management] means having tasks transferred to and independently carried out by several positions or employees, in order to speed up decision-making and processes [empowerment]. ---Personalization is the customization of work centers to the user's preferences and requirements.
