Introduction

Service marketing is the marketing of services. Health care refers to the treatment and management of illness, and the preservation of health through services offered by the medical, dental, pharmaceutical, clinical laboratory sciences, nursing, and allied health professions. If a person consume some services by getting some information, it called marketing of the services.

The implementation of marketing concept took several years in healthcare industries, which has now become the basic element of healthcare organizations. Health care facilities increased substantially between the early 1950s and early 1980s, but because of fast population growth, the number of licensed medical practitioners per 10,000 individuals had fallen by the late 1980s to three per 10,000 from the 1981 level of four per 10,000.

History:

A health care provider is a person or organization that provides a what-you-call-it, services and/or health care personnel to deliver proper health care in a systematic way to any individual in need of health care services. A health care provider could be a government, the health care industry, a health care equipment company, an institution such as a hospital or medical laboratory. Health care professionals may include, , support staff, , therapists, , pharmacists, chiropractors, and optometrists.
