SAP Easy Access Menu
Use the Menus
Normally SAP Menu
will be shown to
you as you log into
the system.

You can personalize

the menu as per
user-ids.

You can add the

regular transactions
in favorites to
access
immediately.
Access an activity through menu

Activity:
Create a customer

Menu Path:
SAP Menu » Logistics »
Sales and Distribution »
Master Data » Business
Partner » Customer »
Create » VD01-Sales
and Distribution / XD01-
Complete.

Click on it to run the

transaction.
Points to remember

• SAP has followed pure logic while designing

the menus.Roam a little bit and you will have
the feel.
• The SAP Menus look exactly like the folder-
menu in Windows.
• For running a particular transaction, there
may exist more than one path in SAP menu.
All these paths will lead you in same
transaction screens.
• Don’t try to memorize the paths.
• “VD01”/”XD01” are called the transaction
codes for the past example.
Got it???

Try to find the

menu path for
creation of
material master.
Simple Features
• Sessions
• Favorites menu
• Print
• Find
• User-specific settings
• Changing colors & fonts
• Use transaction codes
• Saving data
Sessions
• Session: A particular screen in SAP is
called a session.
You can run one transaction at a
time in a session. For running several
transactions at a time you need to
create multiple sessions at a time.

In standard system, you can open upto 6

sessions at a time.
Create new sessions

• Use the
button to
create
new
session
without
deleting
the
present
session.
Favorites Menu

• Select any transaction & click on the 1st

button, it will take your transaction in
favorites menu.
• The pencil icon will give you the option
to change.
• The middle button will delete the
selected transaction from your favorites
menu.
• The up-down button will help you adjust
your favorites menu.
User specific settings
User specific settings
• Depending upon
your
requirements
you can adjust
the settings
Changing colors & fonts
Use transaction codes

• The blank place at

the top left are for
writing the
transaction codes.
• Writing XD01 there
and press the enter
key will directly
take you to the
create customer
screen.
• No need to navigate
through the menu
path.
Points to remember
• You don’t need to memorize any of the
transaction codes.
• The logic for the transaction is though
simple.
For example, ‘V’ symbolizes Sales
processes, “D” symbolizes customer
master,”01” is for create, “02” change
& “03” display. Thus
VD01 >> Create customer master
VD02 >> Change customer master
VD03 >> Display customer master
Some more information
• You can execute the following commands in
this field with Enter:
– To call a transaction
– in the same session (window)
Enter: /nxxxx (xxxx = transaction code).
– in the same session (window), whereby the
initial screen is skipped.
Enter: /*xxxx (xxxx = transaction code).
– in an additional session,
Enter: /oxxxx (xxxx = transaction code).
– To end the current transaction
– Enter: /n. Caution: Unsaved changes are lost
without warning.
- To delete the current session.
– Enter: /i.
– To generate a session list
– Enter: /o.
– To end the current transaction and return to
the starting menu
– Enter: /ns000.
Our approach
• We will try to navigate the SAP menu
for searching transactions.
• In the process we will take note of the
transaction codes.
• If we find ourselves comfortable, we
will start using transaction codes.

Got it???
Try to find the transaction code or t.code for
creating material master.
Saving data

corner will show a pop-up asking if you want

• Using codes
