Corporate Culture
Corporate culture is actually the container for the vision, mission and

values. It is not synonymous with them. In a thriving profitable company, employees will embody the values, vision, and strategic priorities of their company. The corporate culture energy field determines a company's dress code, work environment, work hours, rules for getting ahead and getting promoted, how the business world is viewed, what is valued, who is valued, and much more. Every company or organizations has numerous corporate cultures. For example, the marketing department and the engineering department may have very different corporate cultures which are both influenced by the overall organizational corporate culture

Importance of Corporate Culture

To get familiar with the corporate culture
To develop the personality To achieve successfully assigned target with in time

frame. To gain a financial knowledge To improve my communication skill To get an opportunity to apply the concepts learnt in real life situations To study the client behavior

Managing organizational Culture

It is important for us to manage corporate culture because it determines NORMAL behavior of each employee. If brushing your teeth in the morning and saying hello when coming to your office is a norm for you, the top-management doesnt have to make efforts to make you brush your teeth in the morning or say hello, this doesnt need to be emphasized and it doesnt need to be controlled. At the same time, if the top-management considers this behavior of yours to be unnecessary and unfavorable do you think it will be easy for them to change this behavior? Each employee, first of all is an informal leader. Formal leading begins with the general director. The stimulation system, control system, and selection system as well as personnel education and development system, and besides this, we (though sometimes we dont even have the slightest idea of that) use our personal example and statements stems from the general director.

How Can Corporate Cultures be Changed?

A company's culture is often buried so deeply inside rituals, assumptions, attitudes, and values that it becomes transparent to an organization's members only when, for some reason, it changes.
Organizational Culture Change

There are three major steps involved in changing an organization's culture. Before an organization can change its culture, it must first understand the current culture, or the way things are now. Do take the time to pursue the activities in this article before moving on to the next steps. Once you understand your current organizational culture, your organization must then decide where it wants to go, define its strategic direction, and decide what the organizational culture should look like to support success. What vision does the organization have for its future and how must the culture change to support the accomplishment of that vision?
Finally, the individuals in the organization must decide to change their behavior to create the desired organizational culture. This is the hardest step in culture change.

How this culture helps you in achieving goals?

In an effective team culture, team members understand where

the work of their team fits in the total context of their organizations strategic plan and success goals.

In a successful team culture, teams understand where their

work fits in the total context of the organizations mission, goals, principles, vision and values. Team members spend time defining their team culture by agreeing upon team norms and expectations within the companys overall team context.
