Methods for Managing Conflict

Denial or Avoidance Supression: go along to get along, dont rock the boat, we run a happy ship Power or dominance (usually results in win-lose) 3RD Party intervention: the mediator is trusted and respected, the decision will be accepted, mediator is an expert and competent in resolving the issue Compromise or Negotiation: each party gives in Integration or Collaboration: find an acceptable solution thru group problem solving
