ANALYSIS OF CURRENT MEASURES

Public

Awareness Campaign; Sharing of broachers; Car Safety Information; Identification of Risk Areas; ACLC mobile patrolling; Permanent Police Pickets (24 hours operational) Ad-hoc /Emergency Pickets (operated on need basis)

RECOMMENDATIONS
Use of CCTV cameras in high risk places; Deploy Police officials in Civil uniform at High risk places; Updation of Car Lifters records (based on information obtained from captured lifters) Encourage Use of Vehicle Tracking systems (GPS); Increase number of Pickets to prevent moving of theft vehicles to other areas. (a list of potential locations along with justifications.) Prepare micro level strategy (specific location based on number of crimes)
