 Claim letter
Dear sir,
We had ordered 2000 1kg tins of Nihal Baby Food Powder under our order
No. M-4006/FP dated 4th December 2010. Today when the consignment
arrived we checked its contents and found only 1500 tins out of which 45
damaged. It seems one of the cases was not packed properly or some
heavy load have been placed over it in transit.
There is a great demand for this powder in the town at this time of the year
and we expected to clear the whole stock during the next 2 months. But it
appears some of our customers will have to be disappointed.
With enormous resources at your command we hope you can save the
situation by sending 500 tins immediately by quick transit service.
As regard the damaged tins, we want your advice there are two alternatives;
either you allow us to sell them at reduce price in which case we shall send
you the total amount realized after deducting our usual commission of 7% or
permit us to return them to you at your cost of replacement.
We would very much appreciate an early reply.

Thank you for your letter no. 1587/D dated 1st November 2010.we are sorry that we could not full
fill your order another order from bearing the same name was also received. Owing to
carelessness on the part of somebody your label was pasted on the goods to be supplied to the
other party and then the invoice was also wrongly dispatched. Kindly pardon us for this error at
10% less price, otherwise the goods may be sent back. Needless to write that the total cartage
shall be borne by us. Goods mentioned in your original order shall also be supplied shortly.
