Responsibilities
 Adding and deleting members to/from the Neighborhood
and determining their level of access e.g. read only,
contributor etc.

 Managing overall Neighborhood design and ensuring that


content is monitored by you or a designee.

 Serve as the primary point of contact for all members of


the Neighborhood including training, responding to
questions and requests for help.

Neighborhood Coordinator
Responsibilities
1. Serve as the spokesperson/advocate for the
Neighborhood to your management.

3. Ensure a designated backup is assigned to cover for


you in the event that you cannot fulfill your Coordinator
responsibilities. It is OK to have a deputy coordinator.

5. Attend the monthly Neighborhood Coordinator


conference call.

• Report system problems to the Neighborhoods Project


Team.

Neighborhood Coordinator
Responsibilities
• Report success stories to the Neighborhoods Project Team
such as cost savings, efficiencies, and/or innovations.

• Provide ideas and feedback to further develop and enhance


the your Neighborhood and/or the Neighborhoods product.

• Set an alert to the Announcements on the Team site.

• Notify the Neighborhood Project Team when the


Neighborhood is no longer required.

Neighborhood Clean Up Week
• First full week of December
• Review all:
– Users
– Discussions
– Announcements
– Links
– Document libraries
• Delete or archive what is no longer
needed!

How much time does it take?
• Depends upon the size of the Neighborhood
• Depends upon the stage the Neighborhood is in
• Depends upon what’s going on at any given time
• Overall, though,
– For large Neighborhoods, perhaps at least 25%
– At a minimum, 10%

• Events can be
displayed
as a calendar or as a
list.

• Documents are
located here to allow
you to store
documents in a
central location so
they can be accessed
by other users.

Uploading a Document
• Step One: In the
library, click on
“upload document”.

• Step Two: Click on


“browse” and select
the document you
want to add.

• Save and close.

Edit a Document
• To edit a document
move your curser to
the left of name of the
file you want to edit.
A drop down menu
will appear. From the
menu select “edit in
Microsoft Word.”

Set Alerts
• When documents,
lists, etc. are created,
modified, or deleted, Step 1

users who sign up for


alerts receive a
message informing
them that changes
have been made Step 2

• Click on item(s) you


want to be alerted

Manage Users Step 1

• From the home page,


click “site settings”.

• You can add new
users, delete users, Step 3

• When team members
add a document to a
library, the form they fill
out has one data entry
field for each column that
is defined for the library
• Modify these forms by
modifying the columns in
the library. You can add,
delete, and rename fields
on the forms.
