All About Me

Margaret Kirby
5-A
Lottie
So, many people in the world can say that their dogs are the best.
Unfortunately I disagree with all you people. Lottie was the sweetest,
cutest, and huggable dog three is… or, was. Lottie was 12 years old when
she died. She was a golden retriever. She died because she had a tumor on
her liver. Lottie already had arthritis! What else could go wrong? I thought.

The very next day after we found out she had a tumor, we had to take her
to the vet again because she wouldn’t eat a thing! The next day we got
home from school, and found out that she hadn’t gone to the bathroom all
day. We tried everything to get her up,but she just wouldn't budge!

Once again we took her to the vet, this time they said we had 2 more
weeks with her, but we couldn’t see our sweet ball of fur suffer for that
long! So the next day my Mama held her held her head as the vet’s people
put her to sleep, but this may not be the kind of deep sleep your thinking
of. This is the kind of deep sleep were she never wakes up.
Now we are getting a new puppy this summer.
Splash Mountain
Come on Margaret! It’s goanna be awesome! Please go
on it with me! Said my brother in a pleading voice. Fine,
I’ll go! I finally said. Then I let Ben pull me to our seats
in the ride. We went down a small hill…Saw mechanical
characters for 5/7 of the ride… HERE WE GO!!!!!!!

Ahhhhhhhhh! We went down a 55 feet drop! It looked

like you were going to land in thorns, but then you go
under them! So far, that’s my all-time favorite ride in
Disney World!
Hide And Seek
Rock paper scissors shoot. Ben’s it! I yelled. Ben was my older brother. I personally think
he is the best. Wait! Said Rachael my next door neighbor. Margaret and I need to go
inside real quick. I looked at her with a puzzled expression. She gave me the play along
look, so I said Oh, yeah, we do!
As we rushed inside, Rachael stated saying that we were going to hide in her mom’s car.
Nice idea Rachael, but wouldn’t that be cheating? There was a long pause. All that
could be heard was our footsteps. Who cares? We both finally said at the same time.
We were finally at Rachael’s house. You stay outside, she said. O.K. I said standing like a
statue. Rachael was back outside faster than you can say Jumpin Jack Flash.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, the car door opened 6, 7, 8, 9, we got in 10. 11, 12, 13, 14, the door closed
15, 16, 17, 18, 16, 20! Ready or not here I come!!! I heard Ben yell. 5 min. later, Should I
open the door? I asked as quietly as I could. No! % more min. passed. I took the keys
from her and jumped out of the car. Hey, said Rachael! Found you! B. T. W. [By THE
Way] Rachael is in the car.

Dolphins
Aren’t dolphins beautiful? I said in a dream like voice. I
guess you could put it that way said dad while sipping his
coffee. I’m just so glad we are finally here! He said. One of
the dolphins jumped up, and did a flip, then dived back
into the water.
Doesn’t the ocean look stunning during the sunset? I
asked. It’s so beautiful it gives me the chills, I thought. I
love feeling the sand between my toes. Said dad. The
Dolphins started swimming away into the sunset, because
it was beginning to be high tide. I wish I could follow them,
“I thought, then I could swim with them!”
Owl
HOO, HOO, HOO, HOO. This is how you call to an owl. As I recall it was a
Sunday afternoon, a very nice one to be exact. I was outside trying to
make an animal friend. At first I saw a hawk. I tried to call to it, but then it
flew away. Then I heard my owl. My brother, Ben, taught me how to call
to an owl, so I sang HOO, HOO, HOO, HOO. There it was!!! He answered
me!!!!
I found some left over steak in the refrigerator, so I put it in a bowl, and
then left it outside hoping he would eat it. I personally wanted to see my
owl, so I stood outside like a paralyzed person. I kept my eyes on the tree
that I thought he was in…A little head poked out of the nest! Whoosh,
Whoosh, he had taken off, and he was heading for the steak!!Once he has
landed I started to stroke him with 2 fingers. At first he looked startled,
but then he started to calm down. To this very day I call him Hoo, and he
still always visits me!
My Reflection
What I learned about myself while writing this
autobiography was that I made many quotation
mark mistakes. Veronica edited my stories, and
she would always have a furious face when she
would find a mistake in punctuation. I also learned
that I need to capitalize my letters, and use more
synonyms. I've always thought that I could never
have fun writing, but Mrs. Westberg has taught
me that I can. I love you Mrs. Westberg!
