All About Me

Basketball Playoff

It was the basketball playoffs. My team, the Palmetto Nuggets, was in the
second round. If we won, we would get a bye week, and we’d advance in
the playoffs. We were at Sterling Gym. We were losing by six points in the
fourth quarter. We had our starters in game. The score was 30 to 36 with
2:16 left in game. We needed a six point run to quickly turn the game
around.
We started to press the other team to get a steal and get a quick two
points. Then, we dropped back into a 2-3 zone defense. They shot a three
pointer and missed it. We got it and pushed down court with 1:08 left and
got a layup. Then I blocked a shot, ran down court, and scored with 0:41
seconds left. Now it’s a tied game. Then we fouled them and they made
one free throw. They took lead. Their shooter missed the second free
throw. I grabbed it, ran down the court, and I was fouled trying to make a
layup with no time left in the game. I made both free throws to win the
game and the bye week.
Football

Last year I was playing a football game at the Old Woodmont

High School. We were losing by four touchdowns in the fourth
quarter. We played a team that was older and bigger than we
were. I thought we wouldn’t score for the rest of the game. Then
we stopped them and made them punt.
We got the punt, and ran to their thirty yard line. I was so excited
at that moment. The noise on our sideline was so loud I couldn’t
even hear my coach talking. Then we got a first down, and we
are at the ten yard line. When they gave me the ball it was a
twenty-one dive. I dodged ever one on the other team till I got
into the end zone for six points. We lost, but we didn’t quit.
Jalen

My big brother, Jalen, is five years older than me. I would
die for him so he could live. That’s how much I love my
brother. Right now, he is a sixteen year old junior at
Greenville Technical Charter High School. He goes to
classes at his high school and at Greenville Tech College. He
is very smart, and he’d like to go to college after he
graduates.
Jalen’s top 4 colleges that he would like to go to are
Clemson, USC, UNC and the University of Maryland.
Clemson is his first pick, but I want him to go to USC, my
favorite college. He would like to become an Engineer or
Pharmacist since he’s very good in math and science.
Ernie

Ernie is a boxer and a teammate on my football team.

He is the middle child of his family. He has the nicest
parents ever. He is very tough, and has probably
knocked out some people in the boxing ring. He is also
one of the smartest kids I have ever met.
The day I met Ernie we were both at football practice.
We are in full equipment hitting each other. Then I went
up to Ernie and said, “What are you going to do?” He
said, “I’ll show you.” I said, “Yeah right.” Then he hit the
boy so hard he knocked the air out of him. I knew after
that we would be great friends. I was right, we became
friends.
Games
I love video games. I can play them after I finish my homework. I
can play a single game for hours without getting bored, but I
don’t like watching other people play because it gets so boring. It
makes me feel like going to sleep. I can play any type of game
like war, sports, or fantasy.
I prefer first person shooters and sports games like Madden, NBA
2K, Call of Duty, and Medal of Honor. I enjoy Madden because
it’s realistic and updated during the season based off of player
performance. NBA 2K is the best basketball game because this
game has the clearest graphics and moves than any other
basketball game. Medal of Honor is the best war game because
it’s the most explosive game I’ve ever seen. These are the best
games I have ever played.
MVP
I won defensive MVP in 2010. I played multiple positions on
defense. Those positions were defensive line, defensive end
and linebacker. I rarely ever missed tackles during the game.
Also I was the one every one relied on when it came to
making big plays on defense.
Another reason I was voted MVP on defense is for my
courage. Against the biggest and best team in the league, I
was not afraid and made most of the tackles in the game. I
also chased their running back 50 yards down the field and
tackled him at the 1 yard line to stop a touchdown.
Reflection
I learned that life is all about memory and
experience. I’m only 11 and have a lot of time to fun
and create more memories for family and friends.
I’ve learned that if you think really hard you’ll
remember some family members that have died
while I was young. But I learned most about me self
was that all the awards I’ve earned that no matter
how good you are you could be great at a sport but
that doesn’t mean you can have a horrible character.
I’ve also learned that you be a athlete student you
have to a student athlete.
