My cross is one of the most important things in my life. I got my cross

from my nouna and nouno on Easter 3 years ago. Nouna and nouno is
Greek for godmother and godfather. They went to Greece one year and
got it for me. It is very beautiful. It has a green gemstone in the middle
with silver embroidery around the gemstone. It is from Greece because I
am Greek, and go to a Greek church.
The first time I lost my cross was at a soccer game. I had put it on
my bag because you can’t where jewelry in a soccer game. After the
game I just picked up my bag without thinking, and my cross slid off it.
My parents where in New York while my and was taking care of me. So
when I remembered I called them bawling saying I lost my cross. On
Monday when my parents were back we went to the fields. You would
think it would take us at least 20 minutes to found, but we found it in
the first like 3 minutes. It was like a miracle. The second time I lost it I
didn’t know until my god sister called me asked had I lost my cross. I
felt for it, but it wasn’t there. I then remembered I had taken it off for
swim team practice. It was amazing. I think this cross and I are fate

I was born in England. I love England, it is an amazing country.
The thing I love the most is the sweets. My favorite cookie in the
world is java cakes. One bad thing though is it rains a lot. I love
England in though as a country.
There are a lot of fun things to do in England. Things like go to
Alton Towers, walk to the tennis club. Just take a walk in general.
One time my family and I were walking, and my dad looked into
someone’s car to see if it was the car fabric he sells. That is my dad’s
job. WE still have friends there. One family had to move to the
United States because of their dad’s job. You know what they say
make new friends keep the old; one is silver the other gold.

Camp Bylenga is just another name for the lake house we go to. I am
sure you all are thinking “Oh yeah I have been to the lake I know what she
means.” Well that is not how it is. I have been going to this lake since I was
two. I could write this whole book on memories about the lake. We’ve caught
a fish with no bait, kids have gone more than 8 feet in the air on a tube, more
than once, (me) we have sunk jet skis, make snowmen out of mud, paint
balled on six islands. It is fantastic.
If I didn’t know the Bylengas I wouldn’t have half the memories I do
today. I watched my first R rated movie there when I was six, Brave Heart. I
fell asleep while watching it even though it was supposed to be action packed.
We have blown up cokes with Mentos, with parents’ permission and them
watching. I learned how to wakeboard and kneeboard at the lake. I will
forever remember Lake Kiwi.

I was born in England, so we go visit our friends we have that
live there every once in a while. This particular time our friends drove
us to Wales. Wales is a part of the United Kingdom. Our friends had
a house down there. The water was freezing, but we still went in. It
is very beautiful place. There were lots of cool things washed up on
the shore. We saw a jellyfish on the shore!
One time while we were in the water of the guys hit his toe on
his sister’s heel. The dad thought he could pull the toe back into
socket. He told Billy (the friend) to bight down on a towel. Oh, it hurt
Billy real bad. When we got back to the United States they figured out
that Billy’s toe was broken. We all laughed then.

I am the youngest of four children. You know it
has its ups and downs. I don’t have a younger
sibling. I don’t really know though, if that is an up
or a down. Some people would say it is and up not
have one, but I have always wondered what it is like
to have a younger sibling.
I like have three older brothers and sisters
because when people try to push your buttons you
don’t really notice. They kind of just toughen you
up for life. Older siblings are also more fun. It is
more fun to hang out with someone that is more
mature, rather than less. Also you learn a lot of
good jokes from them. I love my brother and
sisters.

When I was nine I learned how to snowboard. It is now one of my favorite

activities. I learned how to snowboard in North Carolina. This is because
I didn’t want to spend a whole week learning how to snowboard in
Colorado and not be with my family. After thirty minutes I could almost
go down the bunny slope without falling. Then I ran into the instructor.
Now when I go snowboarding I do S’s down the mountain, go through
trees, and even do a few jumps in the tarane park.
In the tarane park I would do jumps two to three feet high. As I
was going through the tarane I thought this was one of those jumps, but
it wasn’t. I was five to six feet in the air. While I was in the air I thought I
might land it, but when I hit the ground I caught an edge which made me
face plant. I think it looked worse than it felt because I heard my friend
behind me go “Ohh, oww that had to hurt.” I got back up though, and
kept going.
The thing I learned the most about during
this project was how many memories I really
had. I also learned that some memories are
better than others. These memories brought
back good times and made me smile to
myself. I occasionally wish I could go back in
time to those memories and relive them, but
that is the past and it is time to make new
memories. I just have to remember one is
silver; the other gold.
