ABOUT VICTORIA CARSTEN 5-b WHY ANTS? WHY? I hate ants! They give me the creeps. But I didn’t hate ants before. When I was little, my dad was gardening outside and I came to help him. I was wearing my favorite sandals that mama gave me. My dad was pulling up weeds and putting them behind the berry bushes. I asked “Hey dad, can I help?” “Ok. Come and help me with this.” Right after he said that my feet started stinging. I looked down and little red fire ants where crawling up and down my legs! I started kicking and screaming! My dad kept on asking what was going on but I ran up to the house. I yelled, “Mom! Help!” she came down and swiped the ants off me. Mom gave me medicine to help my legs but they ached for two full weeks. A BAD DAY When I was little, I was playing Mario party 7. My dad came up to me and said, “Honey, your mom and I need to talk to you.” I thought I was getting new cloths or a cell phone, but it sounded bad. The first words he said were, “Honey, sometimes parents don’t get along anymore. Then they have to separate…..” Then it clicked. “Y’all are getting divorced!” Dad nodded. I balled for hours. I couldn’t believe this was happening to me! I didn’t deserve this! But I got over it and moved on. God helped me and I am very thankful that I have him. THE IRISH FESTIVAL One day, my dance teacher asked me and Mc to sing in the Irish festival. I asked mom and dad and they said I could. So Miss Anna told me to practice and be at the dance studio at 1:30 pm. So all day I practiced until it was time to go. Mc and I practiced together and got our pitches right. We sang beautifully! Like angles! So all three of us walked down the festival. There was green everywhere! After we got situated, Mc and I walked on the stage and sang the national anthem, but I stared at the trees the whole time. After we finished, everyone walked up and complemented us. It was so much fun! OUCHY!!!! I was on the beach with my cousin Lila and we were boogie boarding. We were screaming and laughing our lungs out! But I was standing, watching Lila boogie to the shore when I felt a little tickle on my leg. Lila was beside me by then. I said “hey, stop tickling me.” “I’m not.” Lila said. Then my leg started stinging so bad I screamed all the way to the shore. I yelled “MOM! I got stung by a jellyfish!” she came rushing over and spread sand all over my leg. Then a lady came over and said “Here, use this credit card to scrape of the stingers.” Mom did and it hurt! my leg ached for days. All I could think of was “Ouchy!” X-RAYS IN THE HOSPITAL When I was in 2nd grade, I was racing my friend Marion. I jumped right In front of her and ran faster and harder. But then, I fell smack on my arm. Marion had no brakes and just dove over me. I looked at how bad the energies were and things didn’t look good. My wrist was a big lump. Then the water slides stared to work. Mrs. Stuart rushed me over to the health room and got a nurse from the middle school to take a look. She called my mom and told her to pick me up and take me to the hospital. They took so many x-rays that my arm just numb. Then they gave me a shoot that by the way got stuck in me and then put me to sleep. When I was asleep, they but a cast on me and then put me in a bed room. Then when I could take the cast off they took another x-ray! I’ve never seen or sat through so many x-rays in my whole life! YELLOW- JACKET INVATION One year, I was at camp going on a hike with my cabin. A teacher was showing us about all the plants and stuff. But right after we past a fallen tree, things went bad. I was just walking, minding my own business when I felt a sting on my leg. I didn’t have enough time to look down because I felt another sting on my arm. Then a sting here and there and everywhere! Even on my face! When I looked on my cheek, I saw a tiny black and yellow jacket. I saw everyone screaming and running in different directions. I ran sown hill to the health hut and got treated. When I was lying on my little bed I counted how many times I got stung. Apparently I got stung 20 times! My cabin was desperately worried about me even though then also got stung. But in the end, we all ended up happy. REFLECTION WHAT DID YOU ENJOY ABOUT THIS PROJECT? I enjoyed going back to the past like a flash back. Some of the flash backs were sad, some terrifying, and others happy. Most of the ones I did on this power point were the ones that really effected my life. And others I just wanted y’all to here. I have so many more that I would like to share with you but….. Well I couldn’t. I hope you liked my autobiography and hoped it was interesting.
