• The number of subscribers to IPTV worldwide is slated to grow from 24 million in


2008 to 92.8 million in 2012, a compound annual growth rate of 31%

• Global revenues from IPTV services are expected to rise from USD 7.2 billion in
2008 to USD 31.6 billion in 2012, representing a compound annual growth rate of
34.5 per cent.

• India's market for mobile TV services is set to touch $360 million in 2008. In the
first year of operation, mobile TV could reach a penetration level of 5 to 6 percent
of the total mobile subscriber base in India.


Total DTH subscriber base : crossing 8 mn, DTH likely to capture 24.6% of the
total pay-TV subscriber base by 2012, while 11.1% of subscribers will be covered
by cable-CAS. Overall growth of cable subscribers, including cable-CAS and
