E - SAGU
• E-Sagu is a tool for an IT based personalized agro-
advisory system.
• Sagu means cultivation in in telugu language.
• It aims to improve farm productivity by delivering high
quality personalized (farm-specific) agro- expert
advice in a timely manner to each farm at the
farmer’s door steps without the farmer asking a
question.
• Advice is provided on a regular basis (typically once in
a week) on everything from sowing to harvesting,
which reduces the cost of cultivation and increases
farm productivity as well as quality of agro-
commodities.
• The e-sagu system offer’s a next-generation agro-
advisory tool & supplements and integrates it into
the existing agricultural extension system.

BHOOMI
• Bhoomi project of online delivery of land
records In Karnataka demonstrate the
benefits of making govt. records more open
so that citizens are empowered to challenge
arbitrary action.
• The dept. of revenue in Karnataka has
computerized 20 million records of land
ownership of 6.7 million farmers in the state.
• In the bhoomi project, a printed copy of the RTC
(records of rights, tenancy & crops) a
document needed for many task such as
obtaining bank loans giving proof of
ownership etc, can be obtained online by
providing the name of the owner or plot
number at computerized land record kiosks in
177 taluk offices.e-governance 36

RoR (records of right)across the
counter and online updation of land

KHAJANE
• KHAJANE is a major e-governance initiative of the
Karnataka state govt.
• It is a Govt.-to-Govt. (G2G)project, except for
service pensions and social security pensions,
which have an interface with the citizens.
• This project was implemented mainly to eliminate
systematic deficiencies in the manual treasury
system and for the efficient management of
state finances.
• This is the only project where, from the time of
approval of the state budget to the point of
rendering accounts to the govt., the entire
activity can be tracked through the system.
• KHAJANE project has been appreciated by the
govt. of India & has been awarded ‘Silver Icon’

BangaloreOne
• To harness the benefits of ICT and to deliver the services
in a more efficient manner, the GoK has launched a
project called “Bangaloreone”.
• This was launched on 2 April,2005.
• This project is aimed at delivering various G2C G2B
services to the citizens of Bangalore.
• The project is completely service oriented & aims at
continuous enhancements to ensure efficient delivery
of services.
• Bangaloreone runs on the PPP model.
• The GoK is keen to provide integrated services to its
citizens, deploying the tools of ICT to enhance;

E - Post
• e-post was developed using the PostgreSQL
database, under the Redhat Linux
operating system.
• It has been implemented in around 800
head post offices around he Country.
Operational training was given to every e-
post center to run the software.
• E-Post is a service under which printed or
even handwritten messages of customer
are scanned and transmitted as e-mail
through the internet. At the destination
offices, these messages are printed,
enveloped and delivered

E - KOSH
• e-Kosh is an integrated product conceptualized,
designed. Developed and implemented by
NIC, Chhattisgarh state center(NIC-CGSC).
• It ensures the process automation at treasuries,
sub-treasuries, finance depts., Directorate of
treasuries, Divisional joint director offices and
drawing and disbursing officers.
• It covers all activities from the entry point to
the exit point, with respect to budget
communication to budget controlling officers
(BCOs) and allotment to DDOs, online bill
passing from treasuries, monitoring of
expenditure, payments, receipts, letter of
credit (LoC) system for works accounts and
pension administration.

Chhattisgarh
– The project is named 'BHUINYA' meaning
'The Land' in Chhattisgarhi language.

• Nation identity cards scheme
• The NISANI card is a multi-purpose card which
would replace 20 types of popular cards like
citizenship, succession, ATM cum DEBIT,
electoral roll, blood group, PAN, Religion, cast,
date of birth, date of death, education, eye
donor, disability, driving license, gender, own
home, domicile, identity, death& birth
registration.
• Real e-governance challenge if implementable
will facilitate the election Commission,
Census directorate of India, registrar general,
health ministry, ministry of “home, education,
finance, food”, district collector, police dept.
