MULTI-FLOOR CAR PARKING
INTRODUCTION
Here is a 8051 microcontroller
based electronics project. This
demo project explains how to
make a car parking system
automated. Here, there is a
multi floor parking system, and
a lift will take your car to the
appropriate parking area
depending on the cars that are
already occupied in the system.

MULTI-LEVEL PARKING
NEED:
1)Solving the problems of
parking within the buildings
2)Extending the limitation of
extra space
AWKWARD PARKING
for parking
3)Efficient use of floor levels
for parking
4)Solution to TRAFFIC-JAM
around builldings

WITH FUNCTIONS SERVED
1)SENSORS
Used two T-SOP sensors ,one sensing the incoming cars and other
outgoing.IR is sensed by these sensors generated from 555-timer

2)7-SEGMENT DISPLAY:
Each time incoming sensors senses it increments and when outgoing sensor
senses it decrements

3)BUZZER:
On full entry of cars it signals out and entry in doors shut down

4)MOTORS:
Connected to the movement of doors. These are controlled by maximum
entry in conditions

5)555-(asatable mode) and LED’S

To generate IR to be sensed by T-SOPS

IMPROVEMENTS
CIRCUIT-DISCRIPTION
1)USE OF LCD :
LCD can be used instead of 7-
segment display

2)SPECIAL PARKING
SCHEME:
•Reserved parking floors for V.I.P’s
and officials
•Password controled systems(Ltd)
DRAWBACKS
1)COST FACTOR:
•INITIAL SETUP COST VERY HIGH
•MAINTAINENCE COST ANOTHER PROBLEM
•FEW ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS FIELD

2)CRITICAL CONTROL SYSTEM:

3)LIMITED TO FEW FLOORS:
4)IMPROPER SYSTEM WORKING:
•WRONG COUNTER DISPLAY
•LIFT JAMMING
•CARS IN WAIT CONDITION EVEN WHEN EMPTY
