SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
A. Type of System including control concepts
The surveillance system has 230 units of dome type camera, 9 units
of PTZ camera that are strategically placed to common areas, to ensure
minimal latency a fiber optic back bone is installed at each IDF’s homerun
to Control Room/Security Room

• WV-SFN130 (DOME)- Full HD/1920 x 1080 compact dome network camera

• WV-SW598a (PTZ)- Full HD/1,920x1080 h.264 weather prof camera

The Main system is located at Basement 1, Security room which
serves as the monitoring and recording station and the Main
Distribution Frame (MDF)

E. Start-up, running and shutdown procedures

STEP 1 - Connect the provided power cord to the power cord inlet on the rear
panel of the recorder, and insert the power plug to an outlet whose rating is as
follows.
WJ-NV300K: 120 V AC, 60 HZ
WJ-NV300K/G: 220 V - 240 V AC, 50 HZ/60 HZ
STEP 2 - Connect the provided mouse to the mouse connection port on
the rear side of the recorder.
-------The mouse cursor will be displayed on the main monitor.

STEP 3 - Left-click the desired buttons and tabs on the screen. (Hereinafter,
"left-click..." Will be described as "click..." In this document.)
Step 4 - Click the [Setup] button.

and the [C] button exists on the title column,
it is possible to change all the settings
in the same row at the same time.
Shutdown procedure

Step 5 - During recording, "Off" for “

REC] indicators are off.

Operation Panel
Camera Control
Camera control can be done such as adjustment of display position,
zooming and focusing by operating the camera during live display. *1
Pan/Tilt *2 : Adjust the camera position horizontally or vertically.
Zoom : The camera images expand or they are reduced.
Focus : The focus of the camera images are adjusted.
Brightness : The diaphragm of the lens is adjusted.
Preset *2 : Select a preset number from the following.
When the [Program] button is clicked after selecting a preset number, the current position
will be registered as the preset position of the selected preset position number.
Auto mode : Selected auto mode function is activated.
AUX : The device that is connected to the AUX terminal is open or closed.

*1 There is a case that the operation can not be done depending types of
camera.
*2 This can work for PTZ dome cameras.

Playing back recorded images can be done by WV-ASM200 Series

Event Notification
A event notification message window is popped up to provide a
notification message of a device error, a network error occurrence or an
message that an error is recovered. Several actions will take place to
notify an error occurred or has been recovered.

• The buzzer starts sounding.


• An error pop-up window will be
displayed.
• An error is show on the map.
• The error information is logged.

If the map window or the live window is displayed on the


operation window, an pop-up window can not be
displayed on the top of all the windows.

Camera/Group/Sequence Selection by WV-CU950
- A camera can be selected by NUM key and CAM (SET) key.
- A group or a sequence can be selected by NUM key and GROUP or TOUR SEQ key.
- 1/4A/4B/4C/4D/9/16 screen mode can be selected by the F1 ~ F4 button.
- Pressing the MULTISCREEN button will switch the multiscreen mode
(1/4A/4B/4C/4D/9/16).
- +/- keys on WV-CU950 controller can be used for camera channel switching of live
image on an operation window. Camera channel increments (with + key) / decrements
(with - key) along camera number setting in setup tool.

Remains Reliable At All Times. Regular Maintenance By
The Maintenance Company And Effective Failure
Reporting By The User Will Enable Potential Problems To Be
Identified At An Early Stage So That Appropriate Action

User Management
• There are two types of users : Administrator and Registered user.
• Setting user management can be done only by the administrator.
• A customized menu is displayed according to the level defined for a registered user.

User authentication, user level restriction, auto login function, operation
log management, password’s validation period management and
operable cameras, etc. can be set by the user management menu.

The nature of deterioration and the defect to be look for.
Symptom Cause/solution
• Is the power plug connected to the outlet
firmly? Confirm the cable is firmly connected.
Power is not turned on.
• Check if the power cord is properly inserted into the
power socket of the recorder.
Check if it is connected firmly.
• Is the lens cap of the camera detached from the
camera? Check whether the lens cap is removed.

• Is the power of the camera and connected devices


on? Check whether the power is supplied to the
camera and the devices.
• Confirm that the cables are connected correctly
Camera images are not displayed on the monitor and firmly. Confirm the cables are firmly
connected.
• Is the monitor luminance appropriately adjusted, or is
the contrast appropriately adjusted?
Check whether the settings are appropriate.
• Users who have logged into the system may not be
authorized to display the images from cameras.
Check the user level settings of these users.
• This phenomenon is caused by dispersion of display
area on the monitor. This is not a malfunction.
Part of the displayed image is missing. • When a function to automatically enlarge the images
in the connected monitor is enabled, some part of the
images may not be displayed depending on the
photographic subject.
• Is the lens of the camera soiled with dirt or
Image is blurred. dust? Check whether the lens of the camera is
clean.
• Users who have logged into the system may not be
authorized to display the setup menu.
Cannot open the setup menu. Check the user level settings of these users.
• Isn’t it the sub monitor you are currently operating?
The setup menu cannot be displayed on the sub monitor.

• Depending on the photographic subject or HDMI


The images or embedded characters displayed on the monitor that is connected, images or embedded
monitor look blurry. characters may look blurry. This phenomenon is not
trouble.
• Check if alarm input signals are properly input to the

• Are the settings of the alarm terminals appropriate?


• Is "Off" or "Recording only" selected for
"Mode"? Check whether the settings are
appropriate.

• Confirm that the camera is connected correctly

broken or the camera may be out of order. Consult
the dealer.
PERIODIC MAINTENANCE TASK/
TROUBLESHOOTING
CAMERA & HOUSING
For the system’s camera and housing, verify the following:

1. Camera/lens focus is adjusted properly.


2. Camera field of view is adjusted to customer’s requirements.
3. Camera/housing viewing window is clean, inside and out.
4. Camera lens is dust free.
5. Interior of camera enclosure is clean and dry.
6. Check operation of pan tilt and zoom focus. Use controller in control
room to check all these operations
WIRING & CABLES

For the system’s wiring and cables, verify the following:

1. Check wiring and cable harnesses for wear and fray.


2. Check to make sure cable is dressed properly.
3. Check connectors and cable entry points for loose wiring.
4. Check that the cable is transmitting an adequate video signal to control
room.
CONTROL EQUIPMENT

For the system’s control equipment, verify the following:

1. Monitors are free from picture burn-in and distortion.


2. Monitors have proper contrast and brightness.
3. Nvr’s are functioning properly and providing distortion free recording.
4. Check that all control equipment is operational. Visual check all network
switches if lighted and working well
5. Clean all monitor screens, control panels, and keyboards with a diluted
cleaning solution.
6. Check all connectors on the back panels for loose connections.
7. Check all power connections to ensure AC plugs are not loose.
