Contexto de universidades
A la educación superior, se le
están pidiendo cambios
substantivos para que
contribuya en el aumento de
productividad y competitividad
de los países en el mercado
nacional, regional y/o
internacional.
La Es ha experimentado
cambios significativos:
• Expansión de la matrícula
• Globalización –
internacionalización
• Cambios en las necesidades
laborales – capital
Se demandan de las instituciones
transformaciones en el estilo de gestión que
desarrollan para satisfacer las necesidades
de sus miembros, formación de sus
estudiantes, en la organización interna de
sus procesos, la atención a las necesidades y
expectativas de la comunidad y la sociedad
en general, adquiriendo de esta manera un
rol protagónico en el cambio social de las
futuras generaciones.

Calidad en la educación

Es el cumplimiento de propósitos declarados. Tres

componentes esenciales:
1. Consistencia interna, o capacidad de la institución para
identificar su entorno significativo en función de los
principios y prioridades misionales: funciones, niveles
formativos ofrecidos, áreas del conocimiento, tipo de
estudiantes; identificación de usuarios (stakeholders)
prioritarios para la institución.

2. Consistencia externa, o capacidad para auscultar y
hacerse cargo de las necesidades de dicho entorno
(disciplinarias, laborales, sociales, normativas, u otras)
🡪 Define la pertinencia de su quehacer
3. Adecuación de medios a fines: organización interna de 4
la institución, alineando recursos y procesos a las exigencias
Factores de calidad en educación

Calidad estructural: incluye facotres físicos

(edificio apropiado, ventilación) y factotes
técnicos (programas diseñados, material de
enseñanza).
Calidad de metodología pedagógica: consiste en
la preparación docente y los recursos
metodológicos que emplean.
Calidad en el servicio: interno (cooperación,
colaboración y calidad de servicio para lograr
resultados.), externo (servir a la sociedad, lograr
resultados acordes con las demandas del
cliente).
Calidad en la gestión: aplicar normas de gestión 5
y de calidad para lograr resultados mesurables e

Calidad en la gestión
• Aplicar normas de gestión y de calidad para lograr resultados mesurables e implantar
la mejora continua.

Calidad de vida
• Preparar a los educandos para una convivencia sana, pacífica y armoniosa. Enseñar a
cuidar la vida propia y la de los demás.

Aseguramiento de la calidad

El aseguramiento de la calidad
en la educación superior es un
proceso que busca garantizar a
los usuarios que las
universidades cumplan los
objetivos que proponen. De
igual manera, el aseguramiento
de la calidad pretende que los
procesos
educativos de las universidades
sean coherentes con los perfiles
enunciados por ellas, y que los
desempeños descritos para
lograrlos satisfagan de manera 7
óptima dicho perfil.
