By the end of the course, students should be able to:

1. Cite scholarly sources correctly in APA format and generate a well-
curated reference list
2. Abstract information from various references, paraphrase these in
one's own words, and organize these ideas to generate a scientific
argument
3. Utilize the appropriate search strategies to obtain scholarly
references from academic databases and search engines
4. Write a carefully crafted review of related literature of their chosen

DETAILS
Students are presented with various reference materials
(e.g. books, periodicals, journal articles, newspapers, and
etc.) and they are asked to cite each reference in
appropriate APA format

DETAILS
Students are asked to draw lots wherein they each receive
different journal articles to read. They are asked to answer a
series of questions about each article, which requires them
to digest the main points of the article and provide their
own critique.
