• Conclusion
ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION

• Environment : Environment is nothing but our surroundings , meaning that is a combination of all the living and non living things.

• Environmental pollution : It may be defined as excessive discharge or addition of unwanted and undesirable foreign matters enter in to the environment that causes
huge damage to the life and properties humans , animals , planets.

• pollutant : A substance that pollutes some thing , especially water , air , land, etc…,

• The various industries and automobiles release the harmful water and gases that affects the environment that causes uneasiness and damage to the organisms .

• Environmental pollution is one of the major problems that affects the biodiversity , ecosystems , and human health
TYPES OF ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION

• Air pollution

• Water pollution

• Land pollution

• Noise pollution

• Radioactive pollution

• Thermal pollution
AIR POLLUTION

• Air pollution : It may be defined as excessive discharge or addition of unwanted and undesirable foreign matters enter in to the atmospheric air that causes huge damage to
the life and properties of humans , animals , plants.

• Causes :

1. Smoke stacks of factories and power plants

2. Motor vehicles , cars , buses and aircrafts

3. Chemicals , fires , and volcanoes

4. Fumes from hairspray , paint spray , and nuclear weapons.

• Control measures of air pollution :

1. Eliminate internal combustion engines in cars and instead of carpool or bikes

2. Adopt different energy sources like solar or wind energy

3. Industries should install filters on smokestacks to purify the harmful gases

4. Use perfumes or sprays containing CFC’s.

5. Join in friends everywhere by taking the pledge to make a difference

6. Use the public transport vehicles instead of private vehicles.

WATER POLLUTION

• Water pollution : It may be defined as excessive discharge or addition of unwanted and undesirable foreign matters enter into the water that causes huge damage to the life and
properties of humans, animals , plants.

• Causes of water pollution :

1. Sewage , garbage , and liquid waste of households are discharged in lakes and rivers

2. Industrial water is discharged into lakes and rivers by using freshwater making the water contaminated

3. Oil spilled from the ships to the sea, this spilled oil does not dissolve in water and forms a thick sludge polluting the water

4. When the spilling of oil from the ship thereby reduces the population growth of aquatic species

5. Due to acid rain the harmful acids are mixing to the sea water the causes death of the aquatic species

• Control measures of water pollution :

1. Do not dump in or around rivers

2. Clean and maintain septic systems properly

3. Follow all water laws and regulations

4. Dispose of pesticides chemicals properly

5. Don’t put the animal waste or pour cooking fats and oils down the river , lakes

6. Refrain from using bleach when washing at home

LAND POLLUTION

• Land pollution : It is may be defined as destruction of the land’s surfaces that causes huge damage to the life and the properties of animals , plants , humans

• Causes of land pollution :

1. Urbanization , deforestation , over use of chemical fertilizers

2. Improper waste disposal , mining

3. Industrial activities , misuse of land

4. Nuclear research

5. Chemical released by heavy industries , house hold wastes.

• Control measures of land pollution :

1. Recycle and reuse to stop pollution

2. Avoid use of chemicals in farming

3. Don’t dumb motor oil on the ground

4. Reduce the amount of plastic use

5. Proper garbage disposal

IMPACTS OF LAND POLLUTION ON EARTH

• Soil pollution is another form of land pollution . It is caused by over use of chemical fertilizers

• When land is polluted , it directly or indirectly affects the climate patterns

• When the land pollution trees and plants are fully damaged ,this occurs unbalance atmospheric condition

• It affects the human health in the form of vegetables that we eat as they are grown in polluted soil

• when the city looses its attraction because of land pollution this occurs distraction for tourist

• The land pollution affects the wildlife

IMPACTS OF WATER POLLUTION ON EARTH

• Water pollution affects the aquatic species there by reduces the population growth of aquatic species

• It affects distribution of food chains

• When the impurity water is used by human that causes disease to the humans such as born disease , typhoid , skin irritation , skin cancer cholera

• It occurs heavy metals like lead , mercury , iron , cadmium and magnesium are present in water sources that causes metal poisoning in water

• When the oil is spilled in the water from the ship that affects the many animals can destroyed

• The solid wastes are drown in to the sea water that occurs touristters are distracted it affects economy of the nations
IMPACTS OF AIR POLLUTION

• The gaseous pollutants like carbon mono oxide , nitrogen dioxide , sulphur dioxide are mixing in the atmosphere air that causes respiratory diseases , skin irritation
, born disease , eye problems , lungs problems etc,,...

• Due to air pollution ,heat of the earth increasing that causes global warming . Due to the global warming the green house gases like carbon dioxide and methane
are affect the earth temperature.

• Air pollution occurs melting of glaciers , when the glaciers are melt ,most of the countries are undergo in to the water that causes large number of death.

• Air pollution affects the growth of plants

• The main impacts of the air pollution is acid rain ,the various industries and automobile release the gases and fumes , these are dissolve in the rainwater and
becomes acid rain in the formation of acids during raining

• This acid rain affects the aquatic species , growth of plants , human beings and it occurs fully damage the historical monuments like Tajmahal , Egypt .

• The CFC (chlora flura carbon } it destroy the ozone layer and permits to direct uv radiation from the sun it causes skin cancer and high temperature
CONCLUSION

• Much is being done to control , monitor and rectify damage done by pollutants .this problems are diverse and some are only being recognised but it is important to
keep a close control over pollutants so that we can maintain to keep a close control over pollutants so that we can maintain the environment in an acceptable
condition for future generation.
