OBJECTIVE

To monitor and control water level in well using remote

devices from distance location by using a convenient
instrument based on WSN approach

For optimal, profitable and sustainable use of water.

For easy implementation, continuous monitoring and

control of water for the community.
INTRODUCTION

Wireless Sensor network refers to a group of spatially

dispersed and dedicated sensors for monitoring and
recording the physical conditions of environment and
organizing the collected data in central location.

In this , a water level remote monitoring systems that use

multiple sensors in combination of a gateway to collect
data using other remote devices is demonstrated.
Precision Agriculture
Precision agriculture is a farming management concept
based on observing, measuring and responding to inter
and intra-field variability in crops.
The goal of precision agriculture research is to define a
decision support system for whole management with the
goal off optimizing returns on inputs while preserving
resources.
The practice of precision agriculture has been enabled by
the advent of GPS & GNSS.
Ease of WSN technology

 The main idea is to make platform and connecting the require devices with this
platform

 Some areas have limited access of cable connection.

 Harsh environment could damage cable connection.

 Not feasible to build communication infrastructure for each and every well that lead to
a very expensive system.
Why wsn were used in precision
agriculture
Wireless sensor network on the development of precision
agriculture can be used to regular monitoring of changes in
environmental conditions such as climate ,hydrology, plant
physiology, pests and others.

The WSN sensor node will help the data collection process to
produce information for farmers.
HARDWARE COMPONENTS needed to construct the module

Low Power Texas Instrument

CC250ZN3P kit is used as a Zigbee
Module
End device consists of several
integrated devices are able to cordinate
with limited power and send data to co-
coordinator.
Microcontroller is a single integrated
circuit that contains core processor,
memory and programmable input/output
peripherals.
Coordinator is a module that has
Fig:1 Zigbee module functionalities to coordinate the activities
of other modules.
 Beagle Bone Board is a cheaper
circuit manufactured by Texas
instrument.

 In this architecture Angstrom has

been installed in the SD card.

 For supporting web-server and

PHP, a light version named
“Lighttpd” has been installed.

 In addition , MYSQL has been

installed and each table in the data
base has been created for each
device that contains history of all
changes happens in the time
interval.

Implementation model using WSN

Fig:2 System Architecture of Water-level

measurement using Pressure Sensor
 Head pressure of a liquid tank require to measure to calculate
the water level, where head pressure P is a function solely on the
height of liquid h, and liquid weight density w.

 The measurement equation P=hw

 BMP085 pressure sensor has been used here to determine the

distance from ground to top water level.

 DATA PROCESSING & FORWARDING:

 The intelligent calculation processed by smart device micro
controller.
 The calculation involves measuring distance based on the
reference pressure and the current pressure reading
 The equation that we consider here is:
 Distance=Current Pressure*Air Density-Refernce Pressure*Air
Density
Results and discussions

 The implementation result of the proposed system been

analysed and demonstrated below based on the
architecture of WWNS
ADVANTAGES

 Low power sensor nodes

 Low cost implementation

 Real time response

 Can control sensors from remote location

 Efferent usage of resources

 Simple installation and easy drive system

DISADVANTAGES

 Not feasible

 Cable connections can be damaged due to harsh environment

 Cannot be used in case of climatic changes

 Cannot work without Internet

 Difficulty in working if there are multiple sensor nodes

APPLICATIONS

 Automation System

 Industrial control

 Medical data collection

 Smoke Alarms
Conclusion

The propose WWNS technique offers several benefits

such as cost inexpensive system, less technical instrument
use, less technical people require, simple installation and
easy drive system, real time response and control from
remote location, reliable and feasible system for end users

This system also would be able to connect with cloud

system and manage from farther place
