AS WH-WORDS BECAUSE THEY INCLUDE
THE LETTERS WH
(FOR EXAMPLE WHAT).
1.- WHAT:
se utiliza para preguntar por algo y significa
"qué", "cual" o "cuales".
Examples:

1.- What University are you in?

2.- What is your favorite sport?

2.- WHO:
Se utiliza para preguntar por alguien y
significa "quién" o "quienes".

Examples:

1.- Who is your English teacher?

2.- Who is the president of Peru?

3.- WHERE:
se utiliza para preguntar por un lugar y significa
"dónde«.
Examples:

1.- Where do you live?

2.- Where are you from?

3.- Where is the teacher?

4.- WHEN:
Se utiliza para preguntar por el tiempo y
Significa "cuándo".

Examples:

1.- When is your birthday?

2.- When is your birthday?

5.- WHY:
se utiliza cuando queremos pregunte el porqué de algo. Significa
"por qué".

Examples:

1.- Why are you sad?

2.- Why do you study?

--> A este tipo de preguntas se contesta con "because", que

significa "porque".

3.- Why is she happy?

Because she passed her exam.

6.- HOW:
Se utiliza cuando queremos preguntar por la forma
o manera, esta palabra interrogativa significa
«cómo».

Examples:

1.- How are you?

2.- How was the party?

3.- How do you go to work?

 How + adjective
Se utiliza para pregunta "cuán": how big, how
tall, how far. La traducción de (how) variará
en función del adjetivo.
Examples:
1.- How big is your car?
2.- How tall is he?
3.- How far is it from here to the airport?
4.- How old are you?
 HOW MANY – HOW MUCH

Se utilizan para preguntar por

cantidades de algo. Si se trata de
sustantivos contables, se aplica
How many. Si se trata de sustantivos
incontables, se usa How much. Estas
expresiones siempre van seguidas de
un sustantivo.
EXAMPLES:

1.- How many people were at the party?

I think there were about 20 people.

2.- How much water do you drink every day?

I drink about two liters of water every day.
More if it’s hot.
3.- How many gigabytes of memory does your
computer have?
It has about 120 gigabytes, but the
memory
is almost full.

4.- How much time do we have before the

train leaves?
We have about 20 minutes.
7.- Whose:
Nosotros usamos la palabra
interrogativa Whose para hacer una
preguntar acerca de posesión.
Significa (De quien , de quienes).
Examples:

1.- Whose birthday is it today?

2.- Whose are these gloves?
