 Types of skin :-

There are three types of skin :-


1. Normal skin
2. Dry skin
3. Oily or greasy skin
Normal skin :-
 This is a very rare type of skin.
 It is one of the best type which retains freshness & attraction for long.
 It requires very light make-up.
 Face should be washed with soft water.
 Wipe off the make-up while going to the bed with a good cleansing cream.
 Do not make-up at least once a week so as to let your skin breath fresh air.

Dry skin :-
 Dry skin is sensitive to the weather and is prone to wrinkles.
 It should be protect against wind, sun and water.
 Dry skin should not be washed with cold water and soap, nor should astringent lotions
be used.
 It is better to use good freshener which might be which might give it some freshness.
 Moisturizer should be spread slowly on face by giving outward motion either with
cotton or fingers.
 Diet rich with vitamin A, B, C, D should be taken.
Oily or greasy skin :-
 A oily skin is prone to pimples & dark shadows, it therefore requires frequent cleaning.
 Use of Sulphur soap is beneficial at least thrice a day.
 Avoid greasy food.
 Clean your face at night before sleep.
 At least 8 glass of water should be intake a day.
 If the skin is remains oily the pimples and blackheads find an easy way to appear.
 A greasy skin does not require make-up.
 Cleansing the pores with steaming once a week is effective method to keep the skin
greaseless.
 Use the face pack after steaming, this is called facial.
Skin care in summer :-
 In summer, the effects of the sun increases.
 Exposure to sun increases the production of melanin, which is skins pigment & gives the skin its
color.
 One should avoid going out in the sun around noon, when the sun is directly overhead.
 Before going out in the sun apply a sunscreen.
 Do not compromise on quality and buy a sunscreen of a good company.
 SPF ( sun protection factor) should be mentioned on the label, of the product you buy.
 Most sunscreen are in the form of a lotions and also moisturize the skin.
 This helps to prevent loss of moisture.
 Many people find that the skin becomes darker after repeated exposure to the sun.
 During summer use a facial scrub after washing or cleansing the skin.
 To remove the tan or make the skin color lighter, apply curd on the face daily.
Hints to protect your skin in summer :-
 Use soap at least once in a day.
 Clean your face and neck with good cleansing milk.
 Use a good astringent for oily skin.
 After cleansing your face take a piece of ice & massage your
face slowly with it.
 Wash your face with cold water at least thrice a day.
 Use face pack at least once a week.
Skin care in winter :-
 The most vulnerable to cold is dry skin which cracks easily if uncared.
 Many times cracked skin bleeds too.
 Icy winds also make complexion of your skin.
 Cold cream & olive oil are effective in reducing dryness.
 But before this it is essential to deep cleanse your face.
 For deep cleansing take a cotton swab & deep it into water & squeeze it, apply the cleansing milk &
apply it thoroughly on your face.
 The hot unheated milk might result in opening up unwanted pores on face.
 Tomato & raspberry juice is best suited for facial cleansing in winter.
 During winter dry skin regains its glow by massaging.
 Dryness of the skin can be removed by a massage which olive oil or mustered oil or almond oil followed
by a sun bath.
 To prevent lip from chapping a light application of cold cream or Vaseline on the lip is essential before
going to bed.
Measure to protect the skin in winter :-
 Do not use soap. If your skin is oily then wash your face with soap
only once a day.
 Cleansing cream must be use on face in the case of dry skin.
 For oily skin use skin with very hot water.
 Use of moisturizer reduces dryness of the skin.
 Do not forget to massage your skin with cold cream or skin tonic
before going to bed.
 Use face pack once in a fortnight. Use face pack of oil, milk &
egg.
 Use as little make-up as possible if you have pimples.
