way it supposed to, with respect. CSR is
something that everyone can benefit from,
when businesses adopt its policy.CSR
considers how you can use this impact in a
positive way, leading to sustainable growth
and financial gains.

The aim of the study was to find out the awareness,
practice, strategy, benefits of Corporate Social
Responsibility practice and to suggest suitable
measures for effective implementation of Corporate
Social Responsibility practices by the select services
and enterprises, both government and non-
government organisations. some major findings are
presented as :
1. Most of the executives in sectors where higher
intellectual/technical skills are required such as Education,
Health, Telecom and Financial sector, are more aware of
Corporate Social Responsibility .while those in sectors
where less knowledge/skills are required, are lesser aware
of Corporate Social Responsibility.

2. Awareness of CSR and, clarity of its meaning are both


important for the executives and managers to understand
its implications.
To conclude with, CSR should be inbuilt into the functioning
of various activities of corporate sector. It should be a way
of life for them. In more revealing words, CSR does not mean
‘earning money by hook or crook and diverting portion of it
as tax saving measures or otherwise in name of welfare
activities. Such companies will be truly socially responsible,
and would not hesitate in diverting a portion of profit for
public good.
