THE WHOLE CHILD APPROACH
The Whole Child Approach meets students’ diverse needs through
the collaboration of students themselves as well as their families,
schools, and communities. It ensures that every student is healthy,
safe, engaged, supported, and challenged. This paves the way for
inclusive and sustainable school improvement and, thus, prepares
students for long-term success.

SCHOOL
As the main site of students’ learning, the school serves a vital role in
ensuring that each child is safe, healthy, engaged, supported, and
challenged.

COMMUNITY
Various community agencies and families have great responsibility in
helping to meet each child’s needs. It’s also important to note that
school staff and students play a part in their local community.

CHILD
The ultimate focus of both the school and the community, the child is
what we aspire to nurture and prepare for the 21st century as future
leaders of our nation.

FRAMEWORK FOR 21ST CENTURY

Thriving in the 21st century demands a

unique set of competencies from students.
P21 has come up with a Framework for
21st Century Learning that was based on
recommendations of teachers, education
specialists, and business leaders. This
Framework defines the knowledge and
skills that students must have to be
effective in work and life, along with the
required support systems to achieve 21st
Century learning outcomes.
