TYPES OF SENTENCE

• Simple Sentence
• Compound Sentence
• Complex Sentence
1. SIMPLE SENTENCE
• SS or Clause is a group of words
containing one subject and one verb
• Some clauses can stand alone as a
sentence (Independent Clause)
• Some can’t (dependent clause)
• EXAMPLE: My leg hurts, He studies and
works, The students are learning
Complement in Simple Sentence
• Can be noun, pronoun, adjective, or
adverb

3. COMPLEX SENTENCE

Combine the sentences, using the second sentence as an adjective

A that-clause is frequently used with the fact. Combine the
