Country Flag
• This is the Philippines’ flag.

• The Philippine national flag has a rectangular design that consists of a


white equilateral triangle, symbolizing liberty, equality, and fraternity;
a horizontal blue stripe for peace, truth, and justice; and a horizontal
red stripe for patriotism and valor.

Volcanos
• This volcano is Mt. Mayon.
• It is the most active volcano in the Philippines.
• Mt. Mayon’s most violent eruption was in 1814, which killed more
than 1,200 people and devastated several towns.
Rizal Park
• Rizal Park is located in Manila.
• Rizal Park has large open lawns, ornamental gardens, ponds, paved
walks, and wooded areas.
• The monuments there are dedicated to Filipino heroes.
Villa Escudero
• Villa Escudero is a working coconut plantation and hacienda.
• Villa Escudero Plantations was founded in 1872 by Don Plácido
Escudero and his wife, Doña Claudia Marasigan.
• It was originally a sugar cane plantation.
National Food
• Adobo is the national food of the Philippines.
• It consists of pork or chicken, sometimes both, stewed or braised in a
sauce made from vinegar, cooking oil, garlic, bay leaf, peppercorns,
and soy sauce.
Malacañang Palace

• The palace is located along the north bank of the Pasig


River in Manila.
• It is used as the president’s home.
The Hundred Islands
• The Hundred Islands National Park is located in Alaminos City, in
Pangasinan, Luzon, Philippines.
• You can visit the caves on the islands, go kayaking, go bird watching,
have a picnic, or go swimming or snorkeling.
Cebu Taoist Temple
• Cebu Taoist Temple is a Taoist temple located in Beverly Hills
Subdivision of Cebu City, Philippines.
• The temple is the center of worship for Taoism, the religion which
follows the teachings of the ancient Chinese philosopher, Lao Zi.
• The entrance to the temple was a replica of the Great Wall of China.
Mines View Park
• Mines View Park is an overlook park on the
northeastern outskirts of Baguio in the Philippines.
• You can see amazing views from the observation deck.
Manila Ocean Park
• In the Manila Ocean Park, you can explore many different kinds of sea
life.
• You can observe lots of unique sea life close up.
Quezon Memorial Circle
• The site of the Quezon Memorial Circle was originally meant for the
National Capitol to house the Congress of the Philippines.
• The monument designed by Illustre which serves as the centerpiece
of the park and houses the remains of President Quezon and his wife.
National Sport
• Arnis, also known as Eskrima and Kali, is the national sport and
martial art of the Philippines.
• This sport actually emphasizes weapon based fighting which is done
using knives, bladed weapons, sticks and various improvised
weapons.
