 IVF(In Vitro Fertilisation)

Step-1. Monitor the development of ripening egg(s) in the ovaries.

for fertilization and early embryo growth.

 IUI(Intra Utreine Insemination)
Artificial insemination is a technique where fertility is facilitated by inserting several
sperms directly into the female gential tract. Depending upon the quality and the sperm
count, insemination can be performed by two methods:
A) Artificial Insemination For Husband (AIH) : The male collects the semen by
masturbation and then this is artificially placed in the vagina, on the mouth of the womb
(cervix), with the aid of a syringe.
B) Intrauterine Insemination (IUI): The semen is collected by masturbation, which is
processed in the laboratory.
The seminal plasma is diccarded and the best quality
sperms are harvested and kept in special culture media.
The ratio of half to one ml of sperms is then
aritificially deposited into the uterine cavity
with the aid of a thin catheter IUI.
 ICSI(Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection)
Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is performed as part of your in vitro fertilization
(IVF) procedure. It is a process in which an embryologist injects a single sperm into the
cytoplasm (centre) of each egg. After the embryologist fertilizes the egg with the sperm,
he or she will observe the egg over the next day or so. If fertilization occurs and the
embryo matures properly, a doctor can transfer it into your uterus. Your doctor may
recommend ICSI as part of your IVF procedure to treat many causes of infertility,
especially when there is a problem with the sperm, such as low motility (movement) or a
low sperm count. ICSI is especially useful in cases where the sperm cannot penetrate the
egg or if the sperm is abnormally shaped. This treatment has been revolutionary in
treating male factor infertility cases..
