1. Introduction to WDT (Wireless Deployment Tool)
WDT :Use WDT tool to download software, XML(site configuration) to SRAN
BTS and make AT in one site visit
Hardware requirements:
1. Mainstream Android Smartphone are supported:
Configuration: Android 4.0+, CPU 1 GHz, 1G RAM, and more than 2GB SD card
2. Common Wi-Fi APs are supported:

Recommended mobile: Honor holly , Honor 4X

AP: TP-LINK TL-MR3040

Software requirements:
WDT.apk (the size of the software package is 6.3 MB)

Only a network cable, an AP, and a Smartphone is required.

All mainstream Android mobile phones are supported.

ALL (USB flash drive, DT mobile phone, camera, GPS, barcode scanner, alarm board, paper, and pen
among others) in ONE (Smartphone)

 3. How to download WDT software & Install
You can obtain the WDT installation package using either of the following two methods:
1. open this link and download software (on PC or on Mobile):

2. Scan the following two-dimension code and download the installation package:(QR

other project, because every project has different QRCode)

5. Preparation Before Deployment
1. Download WDTConfig and MML file from WDTRP

6. Preparation before deployment
Copy base station software from laptop to Smart Phone in following path
Example: preparing base station software, BTS software version is “V100R010C10SPC120” 1. If the WDT is used for one

signal, then can connect AP and login station.

Note: After the software and configuration data is download, base stations are restarted. Wait for 12 minutes and then enable the antenna check
function. Software of RRUs takes effect slowly. It takes 12 minutes for three 8-channel RRUs to take effect.

2. Base station commissioning - Transmission fault check with transmission readiness
 The input-free function automatically reads the next hop IP address of the base station and the IP addresses of the BSC and
M2000. The ping and Tracert tests can be executed multiple times.
 You can manually change and type the IP address, and check service IP addresses.

 Fixed entry photo-taking: The mobile phone displays pre-configured entries on the screen. Workers take phones one by one based on these entries.
 Random fault photo-taking. Take photos of all faults. Fault photos can be uploaded in real time, facilitating fault locating in time. Photos can be
selected and descriptions can be added to photos.

Step 10: BBU ESN Bar Scanning
 The site name, RAT, and ESN name are automatically added before the ESN and then sent to OMC engineers by SMS or email. For example,
Site78_GSM_BBU:210305394710CB001076.
 The BBU ESN can be used in ESN binding during the M2000 PNP deployment in real time. This avoids the inefficiency and errors of manual ESN reading.

Optional: Copy data file to PC
If the data file is too large for upload, after all site work, site engineer can connect mobile to laptop
by USB cable, copy BTS data folder(like BAN113_BTS3900) to PC

1、BTS folder Path on mobile：

Internal storage(or SD card) \ HuaweiSDTData \ Site Name_BTS3900
2、Copy “Site Name_BTS3900”folder to PC
Note: Avoid some files can not see on PC at sometime, It is recommended that compress the “Site Name_BTS3900”
folder to zip format on mobile , then copy zip file to PC

1、Open WDT assistant

2、Click “Report” button to select the BTS logs and AT report will be
generated automatically.

3、Please check the integrity of the ATP report and the quality of the
photos.
