OBJECTIVE
 The objective of our project is to build a USB mobile
charger using Solar Panel.
 In our project, the main component we are using here is
the voltage regulator to convert the unregulated input
voltage to a stable output in order to charge the mobile
phone.
 We are using a working model which uses electricity in a
sustainable way.

WORKING EXPLANATION

 Solar mobile charger is a device which can charge mobile phones using
solar radiation. A solar panel converts solar energy into electrical energy.
Solar mobile charger regulates this electrical energy such that it could be
used to charge mobile phones.
 This solar panel traps solar energy and produces an output voltage. But,
since the light radiations falling on the solar panel can vary, the output
voltage becomes unstable. For charging a mobile phone, stable voltage is
required. So, to make the output voltage stable and regulated, we use a
voltage regulator(IC7805) circuit along with the solar panel.
 Solar mobile charger converts and regulates solar energy to 5V DC and the
output will be available through the USB connector.

 IC7805 is used as a voltage regulator to maintain constant voltage. The last two
digit indicates the output voltage , so the output voltage here is 5 V. It is a three
terminal device having input, output and ground pin.
 INPUT- In this pin of the IC positive unregulated voltage is given in
regulation. (7V-35V)

 GROUND- In this pin where the ground is given. This pin is neutral
for equally the input and output.(0V)

 OUTPUT- The output of the regulated 5V volt is taken out at this

pin of the IC regulator.
