Albigensian Heresy

 Occurred in Southern France
 Approximately 1022-1229
Dates of  12th and 13 centuries
Heresy  Named Albigenses by the Council of Tours in 1163
 Stayed until its demise in 1229 due to the Albigensian Crusade
 Heresy- taught that there were two gods, Good and Evil. We went
against the Church by saying this, especially by including Satan as
Definition one of the gods. They believed earthly living was morally wrong,
saying materials and possessions were evil.
