Population Of
Dasmariñas City
• Dasmariñas has the biggest
population in the entire province
with over 700,000 people within
its borders during the day. The
city has 75 barangays, has more
than 170 subdivisions and the
biggest resettlement area in the
Philippines, Dasmariñas Bagong
Bayan(DBB).
• Most affluent families from Metro
Manila and nearby towns and
provinces have chosen Dasmariñas to
be their home due to its proximity to
the National Capital Region. The
mass exodus of people here in
Dasmariñas is also brought about by
Industrialization
• Industrialization is the process
of social and economic change
that transforms a human group
from a pre-industrial society
into an industrial one. It is a
part of a wider modernization
process, where social change
and economic development are
closely related with
technological innovation,
particularly with the
development of large-scale
energy and metallurgy
production. It is the extensive
Effects of
industrialization
• DasmariñasCity is already
industrialized. Here you could
already tell that due to
industrialization, a lot of people
moved to Dasmariñas because it
offered a lot of jobs. Due to
industrialization, Dasmariñas is now
facing a huge problem which is
overpopulation.

Effects of overpopulation
• 1) Overpopulation has a definite effect on a country’s
economy. First of all, when countries are overpopulated,
the hardly have enough food to support themselves, never
mind the hope of having a surplus to sell.  This can
contribute to a low GDP per Capita which is effect
overpopulation has on the economy.  In an attempt to save
the people from the starvation, the government will most
likely have to rely on foreign debt.  This puts the
country in debt at stretches the government’s already
meagre resources.  Furthermore, when a country is
overpopulated, there is a high rate of unemployment
because there just aren’t enough jobs to support the
population.  This results in a high level of crime because
the people will need to steal things in order to survive.

• 2) Governing an overpopulated
country presents problems. The
economy is stretched beyond
belief, and civil wars break our
left, right, and centre. These
civil wars are fought over
farmland, and the people spend
so much time fighting, that the
farmland is not even put to
use. Important fossil fuels need
to be traded away for pitiful
amounts of cash used to no
avail. The government of an
overpopulated country falls
Overpopulation in Dasmariñas
City
• Here in Dasmariñas City, you could
already tell that population is a
huge problem. A lot of people
from other places come to
Dasmariñas City because of job
offerings due to industrialization.
Then, the government was not
able to stop the flow of those
people so overpopulation
occurred. Because of
overpopulation, the birth rate
here in Dasmariñas City increases
every year. Due to increase in
birth rate, the population
• poverty are also increasing. Due
to poverty, people are now
experiencing hunger. Also due
to poverty, health care are now
also getting poor. Feeding the
family is getting very difficult
so instead of using the money
for medicine, they use it to buy
food. Due to hunger, a lot of
people are now trying
everything just to earn money
to feed themselves and their
family. So crime rate are now
• But not all the people are
committing crimes just to
earn some money to feed
their families. Earning
enough money for them
to feed their own family
is so difficult so other
families have nothing to
eat so death rate now is
increasing.
