The researcher should :
1. Take care to avoid asking unnecessary
questions
2. Avoid recording individual item responses if
possible
3. Obtain direct consent for participation from
adults and consent from parent and teacher
for children.
There are two approaches to insure
anonymity :
a) Researchers are usually interested in
group data rather than individual data.
b) Subjects are identified by number
rather than by name.

have the right to insist that the researcher explain
the study to them after it is completed,
particularly to overcome any negative effects that
might result from participation.
