 Barack Husesin Obama II is 51 years old, he was
born on August 4th in 1961 in Honolulu, Hawai.

His Mother Ann Dunham Was Born in 1942 in

Wichita Kansas, she died in 1995, and his father
Barack Obama was born in 1936 in Rachuonyo
District, Kenia and he died in 1982.

He is an American politician who served as the

44th President of the United States from January
20, 2009, to January 20, 2017.

He is married with Michelle Robinson and they

have two daughters: Malia Obama and Sasha

Training and Career

• Obama went to local schools in Jakarta until he

was ten years old.

• Then he returned to live in Honolulu with his

grandparents and in 1971 he enrolled in the fifth
grade of the Punahou School, where he
remained until his high school graduation in
1979.

• When he had finished high school he moved to

Los Angeles and studied at Occidental College
for two years.
• Later he studied Political Science at
the Columbia University in New York,
with a specialization in international
relations.

• In 1983 he graduated from Columbia

University, and in 1991 he graduated
from Harvard law School.
Precidency and Work experience

• Obama was elected to the Illinois Senate in

1996, succeeding Democratic State Senator
Alice Palmer from Illinois's 13th District.

• He was reelected to the Illinois Senate in 1998,

defeating Republican Yesse Yehudah in the
general election, and was re-elected again in
2002.

• Obama was sworn in as a senator on January 3,

2005,becoming the only Senate member of the
Congressional Black Caucus.

• On February 10, 2007, Obama
announced his candidacy for the
presidency of the United States.

• The first bill signed into law by Obama was the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act
of 2009, relaxing the statute of limitations for equal-pay lawsuits.
• Five days later, he signed the reauthorization of the State Children's
Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) to cover an additional 4 million
uninsured children
• On October 8, 2009, Obama signed the Matthew Shepard and James
Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, a measure that expanded the 1969
United States federal hate-crime law to include crimes motivated by a
victim's actual or perceived gender, sexual orientation, gender identity,
or disability.
• On October 30, 2009, Obama lifted the ban on travel to the United
States by those infected with HIV, which was celebrated by Immigration
Equality.
• On February 17, 2009, Obama signed the American Recovery and
Reinvestment Act of 2009, a $787 billion economic stimulus package
aimed at helping the economy recover from the deepening worldwide
recession.
