eTwinning project (2018-2019)
Who are we?
We are students (aged 14-16) and teachers of Latin from Spain, Italy and Germany:
IES Urbi (Basauri, Basque Country, Spain), Liceo Statale "T.L. Caro" (Sarno, Italy) and
Freiherr vom Stein Schule (Fulda, Germany).
Which is the purpose of this project?

To learn more about Roman history from the point


of view of women.
Which competences are you going to improve?
-Competence in history of Rome.

-Competence in Latin language.

-Competence in English.

-Competence in ICT.

-Competence in learning to learn.


How are you going to work?
-You are going to work in an international group.

-Your partners will be students from foreign schools.

-You have to communicate regularly with them.

-You have to do with them the project activities.

-You must all work together.

-Please, be respectful to your team partners.


Who are the Roman women of our project?
-During the Roman Monarchy: Rhea Silvia, Hersilia and
Tarpeia.

-During the Roman Republic: Lucretia, Hortensia and


Calpurnia.

-During the Roman Empire: Livia Drusilla.


Activities to be done in September 2018

-Students are registered in TwinSpace.

-Students learn about the project.


Activities to be done in October 2018
-Students start to contact their partners through email.

-Students introduce themselves in English on their eTwinning profile.

-Each pupil create an avatar with voki introducing himself/herself in Latin. Then,
he/she uploads the avatar to the board (dotstorming).

-Each student must recognise his/her team partners between the avatars uploaded
to the board.

-Every team will adopt the name of a famous Roman woman.

-Students create Rhea Silvia speaker images through Blabberize.

-International working teams create a whatsapp chat in Latin between Rhea Silvia
and Mars through Fake iPhone.

-Students create annotated images on Mars and Rhea Silvia through Thinglink.

-Students create a fakebook account about Rhea Silvia in English.

-International working teams create a whatsapp chat in Latin between Hersilia and
Tito Tazio through Fake iPhone.

-Students create annotated images on The Intervention of the Sabine Women


through Thinglink.

-Students create a fakebook account about Hersilia in English.

Spurius Tarpeio through Fake iPhone.

-Students create annotated images on The Punishment of Tarpeia through

-Students create a fakebook account about Tarpeia in English.

and Augustus through Fake iPhone.

-Students create annotated images on Virgil Reading Sixth Canto of Aeneid

-Each international team creates a gallery with the annotated images.
