• Business Jigsaw is a carefully crafted business
game designed and developed by the CMS
Business School faculty team
• aims to build in an MBA student a familiarization
with playing competitive gaming scenarios

successfully solve creatively designed, unstructured
business challenges (triggers)
• students are yet ‘unknown’ to each other on campus
when they begin playing the game
• great opportunity to meet and mingle as peers for

Playing the Business Jigsaw

Steps

Step 1.
a. Wednesday, July 11, 2018: the Industry Station
Head organizes each section into seven groups
(6-8 members per group).
b. Sections (01, 02,…08) will observe that each is
assigned seven companies across seven
industries.
c. Faculty Mentors will introduce the Business
Jigsaw Game (matrix displayed on LMS).

Step 2.
a. The faculty mentor provides instructions to
student groups on the steps to conduct company
analysis and industry analysis.
b. Students are required to prepare reports on July
11 and 12, 2018.

Step 3.
a. Student groups are required to upload reports on
the LMS platform by 8:00 am Friday, July 13,
2018 as per the displayed schedule.
b. The reports will be assessed and Daily
Performance Scores of groups will be displayed
on the LMS, classroom notice boards and Live TV.
c. On Friday, July 13, 2018, industry-wise business
tasks (Trigger 1) will be displayed on LMS.

Step 4.
a. Saturday, July 14, 2018: Trigger 2 and the key
business themes of the game will be displayed
on LMS.
b. Monday, July 16, 2018: student groups are
required to upload the final report on LMS.
c. Presentations will be held when all student
groups complete their orientation program
