HRM students are those students whose interested in a
field of managing hotels and restaurants. HRM students
were also trained on how to communicate with the
guests and even handle difficult situations as a frontliner.
 Struggles of Hotel and Restaurant Management Students
Gender Statuses - There are some duty that is only
appropriate for a male. There are some activity that is only
applicable for a female and that is the reason why gender
statuses is also a struggles.

study aims to explain the struggles that the Hotel and
Restaurant Management Students were experiencing.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of;

 Sex;

 parents’ marital status; and

 socio-economic status?

2. What are the struggles of the HRM students?

3. What is their academic performance interms of;

 3.1 GPA?
4. Is there a significant relationship between struggles and
academic performance of Hotel and Restaurant
Management?

5. Is there a significant relationship between parents’

 Academic Peformance - As used in the study, academic
performance is the grading point average that the
respondents have.

 HRM Students - Hotel and Restaurant Management


students are those students whose interested in a field
of managing hotels, restaurants.
 Parents’ marital status - As used in study, parent’s
marital status is the status of the parents according to
the law.

 Sex - As used in the study, sex is qualification of the


respondents whether the respondent is a male or a
female.
 Socio-economic status - As use in the study, socio-
economic status is the income rate of the parents and it
signifies how much money do they earn everyday.

 Struggles - As used in the study, struggles is the


circumstances that the students had experienced of
students.
Scope and limitation

 This study was conducted at STI College - Tacurong Campus


located at Purok Rosas, Barangay Buenaflor, Tacurong City,
Sultan Kudarat.

 Researcher identify the one major subject of the hotel and


restaurant management students, the Club and resort
operation. Researcher were going to get the grading point
average in their one major subject in the first semester.
RESEARCH DESIGN

 Research design shows the general procedure in conducting our


research paper, specifically, the variables, specific questions,
respondents 3rd Year College Students, locale of the study STI
College Tacurong, research instruments, interview question to
conduct the study and the statistical tool, the percentage.
LOCALE OF THE STUDY
 The study was conducted in STI College Tacurong. STI College
is located at Purok Rosas Brngy. Buenaflor Tacurong City
Sultan Kudarat.

RESPONDENTS OF THE STUDY


 The 3rd year College Hotel and Restaurant Management
students.
