• At the end of this writing workshop,
students will be able to write the
ESSAY MANDATORY TASK: WRITING
PART 1.
INSTRUCTIONS
 Write 5 PARAGRAPHS:
 First Paragraph: Write an introduction for the topic.
 Second and third paragraphs: Develop the two points you are
given.
 Fourth paragraph: Develop “your own idea”: an extra idea.
 Fifth paragraph: Write a concluding paragraph.
 Organise your answer in a logical way using paragraphs and linking
sentences.
 Give relevant reasons and examples to support your ideas.
 Use a formal style (no contractions, no texting slang or abbreviations,
etc.)
 Write grammatical correct sentences with accurate spelling and
punctuation, and appropriate level of complexity.
 Length: 140-190 words
