my Personal Learning Network to form!

- Facebook
- SimpleK12

MY EXPERIENCE CREATING A PLN
Why did I choose those platforms?

Facebook: I already had one and this was an easy place for me to
get my “ feet wet”

SimpleK12: This I found through some research and realized it

aligned with my goals of learning and professional development

13
MY EXPERIENCE CREATING A PLN
What did I do once my platform was chosen?

What did I do once my platform was chosen?

On this site the information I was inquiring about a more specific topic. I want to
professionally develop myself on technology in education. This website had a
plethora of resources in that area and many more. It allowed me to connect to
other professionals and research content relevant to my needs.

Resources found:
- Ways to strengthen your technological toolkit
- Copyright issues and professional development
- Google Classroom implementation support

help you grow professionally.

REFLECTION

Creating Personal Learning Network is essential in our careers as

educators and for myself as I continue on my career path to a
future administrator. A PLN reminds me of the phrase “ it takes a
village.” The resources, ideas, professionals, and connections are
invaluable. The hardest part is getting started, but after you’ve
done some research there are only benefits coming your way. My
PLN will help me professionally develop and grow as an
individual. Additionally, I am enthused to share what resources
and knowledge I have. I look forward to actively being involved in
my PLN and continuing to pass knowledge along and gain
knowledge.

17
YOU CAN DO IT!

Now get out there and get

started on your PLN!
