Hold the arm of the microscope
with one hand and support the
base with another hand.

Place the microscope on a table

with the arm towards you.
Use the low power objective
lense(the shortest). Use coarse
focus knob for focusing purposes.
Adjust the diaphragm and the
mirror by looking through the
eyepiece to get
enough amount of
light.
Prepare a slide of plant / cheek cell
and place it on the microscope
stage.
Use the clips to hold the
slide when the cell is
seen under the
microscope.
While looking through the
eyepiece, the coarse focus
knob is turn slowly.
