 400 beds hospital


 New job title “ Nurse Aid”
 No vocational Training institutes in the State
 30 positions to be filled in one year
 Training in 2 batches of 15 each
 Staff of 1 Secretary and 2 Trainer are available
ASSUMPTIONS
 We are considering State as Maharashtra.
 Sufficient budget available to deploy internal as well as
external trainers
 Currently the “Nurse Aid” responsibilities are handled by
nurses and the same are outsourced to some extent
 Along with training programme for “Nurse Aids” we are
designing training plan for existing nurses to supervise
the trainees

JOB ANALYSIS - JOB DESCRIPTION
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Aptitude:
 Assist patients with dressing, bathing, catheter care, skin care
 Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, etc.)
 Help in positioning and movement o patients
 Assisting with range-of-motion exercises
 Helping wheelchair-bound patients using safe patient handling devices
 Turning and positioning bedridden patients regularly
 Reporting abnormal changes to the nurse
 Observing, reporting and documentation

Attitude:
 Presence of mind in emergency
 Friendly behaviour with patients
 Patience level while interacting

Eligibility:
Age 18-35
Educational Qualification: 12+Diploma in Nursing or BSc in Nursing
Good communication skills
Astute observation skills
Ability to follow set rules and protocol
Time management and organizational skills
Empathy and compassion
