CONCLUSION
INTRODUCTION

• The Quasi-turbine turbo machine is a pressure driven,

continuous torque and symmetrically deformable spinning
wheel engine.
• It is a true rotary engine that uses a 4 face articulated rotor,
rotating without vibration and turbine blades.
• Higher Efficiency for Resources Saving and Cleaner
Environment.
• The Quasi-turbine is a compact, low weight and high torque
machine with top efficiency.
• It is invented by Dr. Gilles Saint Hilaire and get patent in
1996.
CONSTRUCTION

• The Quasi-turbine engines is active between a robust external

housing and central shaft assembled mounted on bearings.
• It consists of vane, vane holders, rotor link bracket, spark plug,
housing, bearings, casing and casing plate.
• The central shaft is optional and is only needed to transfer the
torque when necessary.
• Quasi-turbine does not require any gear assembly it reduce
complexity and cost to build.
• The intake and exhaust ports being at different ends of the
combustion chamber.
• It is integration of the electric generator with fuel engines.
CONFIGURATIONS

• Quasi-turbine without Carriages

• Quasi-turbine with Carriages

WORKING PRINCIPLE

• The four strokes of a typical cycle are arranged sequentially

around a near oval.
• It enable Photo-detonation.
• The compressing and expanding
• takes when the housing to get closer and farther from the rotor.
• The Quasi-turbine can handle large volumes of air or steam.
• The Quasi-turbine average torque is equal at 90 % of the
maximum torque but 15% in case of 4 stroke piston engine.
• The four power strokes per rotor revolution, this is eight times
more than a four stroke piston engine.
ADVANTAGES

• Photo-detonation compatible
• Light and Compact
• Multi-Fuel and Multi-Mode
• Efficiency Considerations
• High Torque Versatility
• Environmental Friendly
• Quasi-turbine CO2 reductions
• Simple and compact design
• Low construction and maintenance cost
APPLICATIONS

• Hydrogen engine model

• Pneumatic engine and pump
• Aircraft, Race cars and steam vehicles
• Engine exhaust heat energy is recovered by quasi turbine
rotary air engine.
• The Quasi turbine is suitable as compressor and pump in
Refrigerator, Freezers, air conditioner etc..
• It is used in co-generation steam power plants
• It is also used in Marine Applications
Quasi-turbine used in car Quasi-turbine air compressor engine
CONCLUSION

• The most important revolution of the Quasi-turbine come from

its characteristics permitting photo-detonation.
• The thermal and photonic ignition control in the piston is still
an unsolved problem, and possibly the Quasi-turbine does
overcome this problem.
• The Quasi-turbine is a simple technology which could be
widely used within a few years with substantial high power
benefits over piston engines in many applications.
