lines should never be straddled.
c) Access control
The quality control plans defines all project documents required including
ITP’s, all approvals, project hold points, records required, and verifying authorities.
Applicable-
• Confirm that pile location is within horizontal tolerances and pile plumbness is within
the range specified.
• Confirm the location of the pile to be constructed, so that relevant sub surface
conditions, pile construction requirements (i.e., pile number, embedment depth, cut-
off, and batter, if required) can be quickly and accurately referenced.
• Document auger verticality or specified batter, as applicable. Document
cuttings and auger advance rate.
• Monitor behavior of the pile and surrounding ground during construction of test pile
foundations. Check for indications of ground subsidence or loss of fluid concrete.
• Document automated monitoring system and control parameters;
• Document concrete properties (batch time, temperature, additives, and flow) and
those samples that have been obtained for strength testing at the intervals, per
project specifications.
• Document installed Reinforcing details for rebar and steel section
• Confirm that the pile top finishing is performed in a manner consistent with the
project requirements
Post Construction
• Details of concrete mix design and sampling and testing requirements; and
• Reinforcing details and methods for pile top finishing and cut-off levels.
• Review of Equipment
