Entrance and Seating Arrangement
Inspect the seating arrangement before instructing the
examinees to enter the testing room. There should be
four rows of armchair. Check if the first and last rows
are close to the walls.
Instruct the examinees to line up outside the room.
Call out the names of the examinees by alphabetical
order of their surnames. Let the first four examinees
occupy the front line first, then the second, until the
last line as shown below.
Entrance and Seating Arrangement
In no case shall there be more than 30 examinees in a
room.
Check again the seating arrangement by calling out the
names of the examinees from the list in Form 1
prepared by the School Principal/Testing Coordinator.
Check the identities of the examinees inside each
examination room by all means (e.g. ID, notebooks
bearing the examinees name; etc.).
Testbooklets
For Tagalog Mother Tongue Speakers only:

Pupils will only answer Test Booklet 1 with the following


subtests:
English- 45 items
Filipino- 45 items
Filipino Numeracy- 20 items

For Mother Tongue Speakers other than Tagalog:

You will answer Test Booklet 1 with the following subtests:


English- 45 items
Filipino- 45 items
*Note: Dont let the pupils answer the Filipino Numeracy Test

and Test Booklet 2 with the following subtests:


Mother Tongue- 45 items
Mother Tongue Numeracy- 20 items
Answer Sheet
In the distribution of the TBs and AS follow the
numbering of examinees. Start with the
examinee in Number 1, by giving him/her the
TB/AS with the lowest serial number and end
with examinee in Number 30, giving him/her
the highest serial number.
Answer Sheet
Seats of late comers / absentees should be left
vacant. Test Booklets and Answer Sheets
allocated to the said examinees should be
placed inside the original plastic bag by the
Room Examiner pending their arrival.
However, the Test Materials should not be
distributed yet if there are only less than 10
examinees in the room.
Test Proper
For Booklet 1
The Examiner will read the English Listening Guide up to item 12 only.
The examinees will continue answering from nos. 13 to 45.

After the English test, Examiner gets the Filipino Listening Guide and reads
up to item 12 only. The examinees will continue answering from nos. 13 to
45.

After the Filipino Test, the examinees will continue answering the Filipino
Numeracy Test from nos. 1 to 20 (for Tagalog Mother Tongue speakers
only).

Record on the board the time started and the time to end this test. Go
around and see to it that the examinees shaded the correct part of the test.
After the allotted time for TB1.
For Booklet 2
The Examiner will read the Mother Tongue Listening Guide up to item
12 only. The examinees will continue answering from nos. 13 to 45.

After the Mother Tongue Test, the examinees will continue answering
the Mother Tongue Numeracy Test from nos. 1 to 20.

Go around and see to it that the examinees are recording their answers
properly. Note on the board the item to end. The indicated time to end
is from the time started, excluding the 15-minute snacks break.
Collect and count all used and unused test booklets and answer
sheets and place these in the original plastic bags. Make sure that
all materials have been retrieved. In case a Test Booklet is
missing expend all means to find it. DISMISS EXAMINEES
ONLY AFTER ACCOUNTING THESE TEST MATERIALS.
Post Test
Preparing the Reports and Sealing the ETRE
Do the following activities:
Accomplish Form 7, the Room Examiners Test Administration Evaluation Report
Copy from the board the Time Record Report on Test Administration
Indicate in the ETRE the number of registrants and the number of
actual examinees.

Place the following inside the Room Examiners Transmittal Report


Envelope (ETRE):
Time Record Report
Used Answer Sheets arranged consecutively by Examinee Number Placed in original
plastic bag
One Copy of BEA Forms 1 and 2 (back to back) and Form 7

Seal the ETRE with the DepED-BEA paper seal while still inside the
examination room.
Turning Over of Materials to the Chief
Examiner
Turn over to the Chief Examiner the following materials:

Sealed ETRE with its contents


Used and unused Test Booklets assembled together and
arranged
consecutively by Serial Numbers packed in their original
plastic bags retaining the Batch Slip inside the plastic bag.

The following acts are deemed as violation/infractions of
security pertaining to national examinations in
addition to:

1. Reading of test booklets other than by the examinee


2. Supplying answers to examinees
3. Cheating
4. Plagiarizing
5. Loss of test booklets
6. Photocopying of test booklets

7. Capturing test items through electronic gadgets
8. Distribution and posting of photos of the test booklet in any
form of media
9. Opening the test materials prior to testing schedule
10. Late submission of test booklets and/or answer sheets
11. Tampering of examinees answer sheets
12. Infringement of copyright

13. Allowing impostors and substitute examinees
14. Misrepresentation with regard to age,
residence, and status
15. Failure to closely monitor test procedures
resulting in test irregularities

Any or all of the following sanctions will be imposed on any or
all of the aforementioned violations committed by those
involved:
1. Examinees
The degree of violation and corresponding sanction shall be
determined by the Chief Examiner.
a. First and second offenses: reprimand
b. Third offense: Cancellation of test papers / invalidation of
test results

2. Testing Personnel
The degree of violation and corresponding sanction shall be
determined by the Schools Division Superintendent.
a. Suspension of salaries and incentives/benefits of those
concerned for one to three months
b. Work suspension
c. In the case of infringement of copyright, legal remedies will
be considered.
